[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was a little bit sweeter than the Merlot. It tasted better with beefsteak, but I also tried it with grilled pork chop. You can smell the different blend of the red berries that were used but I noticed that I could taste more flavor when I made it cold instead of drinking it warm. Its a dry wine but not to dry. Like not the dry to the point my lips fill chapped lol. I tasted more cherry than raspberry, but smelled more raspberry and spice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first experience with wine aged in whisky barrels. The nose is slightly smoky, with dark fruit and then the distinct smell of bourbon. It's medium bodied in the mouth with, berries, oak and then the bourbon finishes. I was pleasantly surprised with how smooth this is. Can't decide if itsit's whisky or wine kind of evening? Try some of both. Great to use when cooking a dish that calls for a rich deep flavor like beef Bourgogne

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Robert Mondavi is one of my favorite wines. I tried the Private Selection Bourbon Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon. For the price, you are getting an amazing value. Cabs are my favorite type of wine, so I couldn't be happier. It is big on flavor with nice complexity. It has a slight oak and smokiness to the aroma and an apple and stonefruit taste. The bourbon aroma and taste was definitely there as well. I will definitely be getting this wine again and it would pair nicely with a hearty and meaty dinner. A definite winner in my book!

I'd definitly buy this as a gift for a wine lover or get it for myself to enjoy with dinner, maybe with a juicy steak! I paired this with Asiago cheese, crackers, honey, and on the side peppered salami! It all really complimented each other so well!

I am not generally a Cabernet drinker but this wine changes my mind. The faint hint of the bourbon and the hints of spice made it very special. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We tried this with a charcuterie board which included a hard salami, pepperoni slices, and strong cheeses. The Cabernet Sauvignon paired very nicely with the meats and cheeses on this charcuterie board. I really liked the bold, rich flavor of the wine. It was a little too dry for some of my guests, but I enjoyed the flavor and lasting taste very much. I will buy this again. Great wine!

We will definitely enjoy this wine in the future with steaks, beef, and pork . Unfortunately the state store gave us the wrong wine so we didn’t taste the Bourbon Barrel-aged Cab.
