[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bourbon barrel-aged Cabernet had me second guessing what I was drinking. The description was California grapes picked at the peak of ripeness but for me and my guests the aroma was bitter plum with a hint of cherry with a deep red appearance and the taste was dry, slightly bitter plum/cherry with spices. It was over-all a lot better than most dry wines we’ve tried and by the 3rd sip I created a fondness for it. We paired it with grilled foods and pasta dishes which went nicely with it, more so the grilled items. We rated it 3 1/2 out of 5 stars. Note: I am having to post another review of the Bourbon-Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon because the liquor stores said the distributor doesn’t carry the Rum Barrel-Aged Merlot and the Rye Barrel-Aged Red Blend is on back order with no indication as to when it’ll be available again, and this is the only liquor distributor for the nearby counties.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Notes of bourbon and oak accent this deep berry flavors of a Cabernet Sauvignon which are highlighted by spicy undertones. While have a rich flavor, the wine is frugally priced. It paired well with a sharp cheddar and Genoa salami charcuterie.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The flavor is amazing on this blend. The toasted oak is very distinguished. The aroma of the blackberry , vanilla and some herbs. I found it tasty with some steal and potatoes. I would recommend this for sure.

Cabernet Sauvignon is my wine of choice, and Robert Mondavi Private Seletiction is great. Being aged in bourbon barrels gives it a unique oaky flavor that finishes quite nicely.

Robert Mondavi Private Selection Bourbon Barrel-Aged Cabernet Sauvignon is my new favorite. It has a bold flavor and aroma that highlights the Bourbon. The aftertaste is pleasant and satisfying. The mouthfeel is on point. We enjoyed this exquisite wine with a cheese & fruit tray appetizer and a meatless pasta meal. I feel it will pair well with any hearty food. I will purchase again for myself, as well as, to serve/gift to family and friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am loving the layered aromas of the Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon by Robert Mondavi. I am getting chocolate, coffee, graham cracker and some lovely smokey aroma. On the palate I get mocha, praline, and caramel with a toasty oak. The bourbon barrel makes this a fun wine to try. I personally love this with a steak or just sitting outside enjoying a cold evening. Totally worth giving a try if you are a fan of Cabs.

It is a dark red wine with an orange tinge. In terms of taste, it has a strong black cherry flavor with hints of blackberry, persimmon, and pomegranate. It has a bit of an acidic aftertaste that is harsh on the palate with a black cherry flavor.

Oh, am I glad I did! This cabernet has a smooth, decadent taste that is perfect for red wine lovers. There's a slight smokiness here without being overpowering: just the right amount of something extra that makes this wine stand out from others. Robert Mondavi consistently delivers great products at a fantastic price point, but this private selection offering is something extra special by the company. So glad to make this a new favorite!

Once I got accustomed to the taste, it was mildly pleasant. I would drink again if offered but I would not intentionally go out and purchase on my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bourbon aged cab was exactly as it sounds. It had the classic Mondavi cab taste with that little kick of bourbon. It’s smooth, with a full-bodied taste and a hint of bourbon. I would definitely recommend!
