[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first experience with wine aged in whisky barrels. The nose is slightly smoky, with dark fruit and then the distinct smell of bourbon. It's medium bodied in the mouth with, berries, oak and then the bourbon finishes. I was pleasantly surprised with how smooth this is. Can't decide if itsit's whisky or wine kind of evening? Try some of both. Great to use when cooking a dish that calls for a rich deep flavor like beef Bourgogne

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Personally, red wines are strong for me so I like to pair with food. I paired this Cabernet Sauvignon with ground meat and sausage pasta (White sauce- Bolognese). Strikingly, this red wine was not as strong as I was expecting. While opening and smelling the wine, the blackberry and black cherry fragrance and taste were dominant. We were able to taste the the hint of oak barrel and vanilla. I would recommend to an oenophile.

This wine was nicely paired with a marinated beef and various cheeses for an appetizer. I will definitely be purchasing this wine again for fall meals.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The reviews were all over the board with this one! It was an overall mild taste, with a very dry finish. The aroma was fruity and floral with a slightly sour scent. We paired it with various cheeses - a brie, a garlic goat cheese, a blueberry-vanilla goat cheese, and a purple moon cheddar. It paired best with the cheddar! As well as with various meats and rosemary and wheat crackers! We all decided to have it again and pair it with a steak dinner! Overall, not my personal favorite, though a very good decision for a Cabernet Sauvignon. Will purchase again!

Oh, am I glad I did! This cabernet has a smooth, decadent taste that is perfect for red wine lovers. There's a slight smokiness here without being overpowering: just the right amount of something extra that makes this wine stand out from others. Robert Mondavi consistently delivers great products at a fantastic price point, but this private selection offering is something extra special by the company. So glad to make this a new favorite!

The aroma is the perfect blend of fruit and oak. It paired perfectly with our italian dinner off chicken parm and pasta. It kept the night going!

The fresh outside air allowed me to smell the delicious berries it contained. This was my favorite tonight as we paired it with gouda, aged cheddar, ribeye and stuffed mushrooms. I enjoyed how smooth and flavorful it was. It was perfectly balanced in flavor.

The wine was bold, and I tasted dark berries along with vanilla and toasty flavors from the barrels. Delicious!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Robert Mondavi Private Selection Bourbon Barrel-Aged Cabernet Sauvignon was really good, I tasted chocolatey taste, vanilla, a fruity berry taste kinda like cherry, had a coffee taste. This wine was full bodied, the notes were rich tasting. It wasn't too oaky nor did it taste like old cigars, it was slightly smoky, do taste a little bit of bourbon. The wine was enjoyable with a steak dinner, pizza, pasta, cheese, goat cheese. I would buy again.
