Don't wait too long to eat this!

Love Wolf Brand Chili. Usually use it for hot dogs or Mexican salad, but It is always great for a quick meal when you need it. Has a wonderful taste for canned chili and is hard to beat.

It's OK!

I've used Hormel No Beans for years and really saw no difference (on a hot dog) between the two other than the Wolf Brand does list more calories and a small amount more salt. That said, in my use I normally add hamburger, tomatoes, pinto beans, kidney beans, some honey and vinegar, mushrooms, onion, and a bell pepper to make a large bowl of mild chili I cook on low and slowly for about two hours.

Good starter for homemade chili.

Flavor is very good but very thick texture and smooth. I'm going to add a small can of tomatoes and beans to remaining cans for a more traditional midwest chili. Will probably need a little extra chili powder after adding the two extra ingredients.

Family approved

Family has always liked the flavor of Wolf Brand Chili. It doesn't matter if it is with or without beans the flavor is constantly the same. Everyone in the family has a preference, Wolf Brand Chili without beans for chili dogs, omelettes, etc., and with beans for crackers and cornbread.

Diaper Contents

I saw other 1 star ratings, but also saw tons of 5 stars. I decided to decide for myself. I was looking for a chili sauce for our hotdog stand, and started taste-testing. This was the first one we tried. It didn't smell great. It looks like a pasty glop, and there is hardly any meat. The taste was "meh". When you bring a hotdog up to your mouth, it's right under your nose. The smell is off-putting. You'll be sure not to eat too many dogs with this stuff on it, because it rids you of your hunger. We're done with this one. Next.........

Good to have on hand

For the first 30+ years of our marriage I bought this when we wanted Frito Pie, but it began to give me a lot of reflux issues so I had to switch brands 10-20 years ago. I just ran out of the canned chili and decided to order more. I saw Wolf brand is cheaper so I bought a box of it for my husband and the Hormel for me. We like both brands, but GERD and dental problems are making it tougher for me to shop or cook. Still, this used to be my favorite brand. Switching had NOTHING to do with the brand. It had everything to do with muy gut. Literally.
