Best canned chili

I have been eating Wolf brand Chili for 50 Years! I grew up in Texas and that is where it is made. Best can chili you can buy. I don't care for the texture me with beans. This one has tons of meat. I love to put some over white rice with a slice of American cheese. Great for lunch or to eat over tamales or enchiladas!

Great Chili flavour as well as a great value.

On those days of time crunch this is a great heat and eat, good flavor and just the right amount of heat. We use Wolf as is, use when making enchiladas, chili mac, and use it as a sloppy joe sandwich base. The meat is not that grainy soy stuff either.

Best chili ever!

Wolf Brand Chili is the very best! We love it on our chili dogs, corny dogs, or just in a bowl with crackers!

Who Doesn't Like Chili/Slaw Dogs?

This Wolf brand chili is our go-to for canned chili. We prefer this brand to several others we have tried. Half a can makes an easy snack/lunch or a topping for chili/slaw dogs. The taste is good and just a bit spicy. My only problem is that while I prefer the no-beans variety, my husband prefers the with-beans variety, which Sam's Club does not offer.

Not the chili You're expecting

This product is not what it used to be! I had this chili for the first time about a year ago. I was looking forward to it. First of all it looks different. Second of all it is different. You will be hard pressed to find the beef. It seems that they have cut back on the meat. The appearance does not resemble anything nice. To start with It absolutely does not look appetizing. The consistency is awful! I am sure beans would offer some kind of contrast. But the carne with no beans resembles... Brown paste.

CHILI PATE?

Texture can affect taste even more than spices. Unfortunately, the beef and pork in this product have been ground into an unappetizing paste. It should more appropriately be called chili pate. A good beef chili bowl should have chunks of ground beef swimming in a tomato and beef fat sauce.

only the label is the same, 2nd rate chili paste

"Neighbor, when's the last time you had a steaming bowl of Wolf branch chili?" <pause> "Well that's too long". If you're over 60 you probably remember that TV ad (in texas anyway). Wolf brand was the best canned chili you could get, Frito Pie (cut open a small bag of Fritos, add Wolf chili top with cheese) was served in our cafeteria and little league games. You couldn't do that now, this is lousy chili paste. no chunks of meat like it used to have. not sure what to do with 5 cans i have left. makes me feel old. i shouldn't be surprised, it' has been too long.

Not what I expected

Not what I expected - meat if there was any was ground up so fine it seemed like it was just a thick liquid. It would be ok as a base for chili if you add meat and beans. Was not too spicy.
