[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hound dog Hemingway was a very sick puppy few months ago. He contracted Parvovirus. Yes, he was immunized but it still happened. I stayed with him night and day , administered all the necessary IV's in his body and all the drugs he did not want. Well, he pulled through. but lost about 10lbs. He was so skinny and did not have a big appetite. Then I bought a Purina "Dog Chow" and my "little" guy is now 110 lbs. Of course he won't eat anything else than his favourite -Dog Chow. Thank you Purina.

If your dog hasn’t had this food yet. I highly recommend against it. Since I changed my dog food to this, he has been suffering from bad colitis to the degree of bleeding. We thought it could have been an infection. After soft diet and antibiotics it had resolved. Once I resume this food again, we started all over again. I don’t advice. Take care of your pooch.

When we adopted Rocket, the Humane Society was feeding him this kind of food and we kept him on it, it has been 3 years now since we adopted him and we have no complaints with the food, he always gobbles it down. We change the flavor from time to time, but never the brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been buying this since I first got Whoopi in 1997. She passed away only a couple of years ago. All my other dogs love this and all have been as healthy as Whoopi was. I currently have 3 mastiffs (11 years, 9 years and 4 years) and a 13 year old Bernese Mountain Dog. I feed after Young and the Restless and my dogs know the music after the show and RUN to their bowls! They love Purina too! I have a video to prove they know the music and run! No other dog food could help in allowing me to love on them for so many years! Thank you PURINA!!!

We have fed our dogs this product for many years. Recently, Purina changed the composition of the chow, and our dog spits out the little cylindrical pieces all over the house. She hates the new formula. I had an 8 month old bag which was lying around, and it doesn't have the cylinders. She loves this food. I am assuming I can't get the old formula any more, and I am going to have to change what we give her. Please get rid of the cylindrical pieces

My non-working dogs used to eat the Dog Chow Natural but that food got discontinued. It had good protein and good fat levels that kept them from getting overweight like the rest of the Dog Chow line but it didn't have the Red 40, Yellow 6, or Blue 2. I don't mind plant based dyes. It was suggest by customer service to try this food instead, the Dog Chow Complete, so I bought a smaller bag (20 lb bag) to try with my pack. My dogs like it fine but I still don't like the dyes and would prefer they change the dyes in the food to be more natural like they did in the Beneful line. I would switch to the Beneful line of foods but the Dog Chow is more affordable for my pack and they actually prefer it. I did try them on Beneful but they wouldn't eat it. They would eat Purina ONE but too high in fat for some of them. Overall I'll tentatively feed the Dog Chow Complete food. I do trust Purina as a brand and have some hope that they'll remove the artificial dyes in Dog Chow just like they did for the Beneful line years ago when they reformulated it. For the dyes I gave it 3 stars because after doing some research found out they removed the dyes from their European lines and don't see why they can't do the same in the US.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the only dog food that my dog eats. And it agrees with her sensitive stomach. I have tried other brands but this one does not result in the upset stomach syndrome that she had on other brands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We're dog sitting for my aunt and my dogs eat Purina dog chow. Since being here, LEILA the rat terrier hasn't bothered with her Bella dog food, opting for our green bag instead. It makes one of my dogs itchy but the others are fine.

In the past 47 years I have owned / co-owned 13 dogs and 7 cats; fostered 5 kittens at one time and fostered 2 dogs. Also have kept 2 dogs for my kids for extended period of time. All my dogs have been raised on Puppy Chow and Dog Chow til now my dog is fed Purina Chow Adult Complete. The cats were on Cat Chow. I believe these are great products as my pets usually live 12 to 15 years. Purina is doing it right! Thanks Purina! Keep making great food for our pets.

My dogs have always been healthy and active. I will never change from Purina. I am 54 years old and have never had a time in my life I haven't had an animal or multiple animals. Purina is my first and only choice for each. I found that Purina made Bear Chow for the bears at the zoo. I know zoos only choose the best, so I have never changed! My vet only recommends it also! My dogs have always been healthy and active. I have had cats live until 24 years old eating nothing but Purina. Only one animal I have had cancer. Everyone else has been extremely healthy until they day they crossed the rainbow bridge. They live very active and healthy lives. Purina has proven time and time again that they are the best foods I can buy for my animals. I will continue to feed my animals Purina. I have all the confidence in the world that I am feeding my animals the most healthy food money can buy!
