We have 4 labs, so we go through a LOT of food! We started them off on Puppy Chow and fed it to the Momma during pregnancy and until her 10 puppies were weaned, then transitioned to PDC. Purina Dog Chow does not cost much more than generic food but has a trusted name behind it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family has three dogs that we've rescued and adopted: Atlas- 6y old male; Chrono- 3y old male; Stock 2y old male. We've fed puppy chow for their first years, and dog chow after, and they are all consistently a healthy weight. We buy the 50lb and up bags and not only is it higher quality, but is also more economical than the "bargain" foods, because you don't have to feed 6-8 cups per day to give your dogs their needed nutrition (not to mention WAY less dog poo!). We've also fostered other rescues, including Clyde, who was about 20 lbs under weight when we found him, and dog chow got him to a healthy weight within a couple months. When I got a bag of dog chow that my dogs didn't want to eat (because of a change in the shape of the kibble) I notified Purina, and they sent us coupons for free replacement.

I purchased this for my dogs last month on a hope to try something new for them that would they would like because other foods have been just lingering around in their bowls. SUCCESS!!! Empty bowls every time :) thanks Purina. I am one happy customer!!!

They eat their bowl of food so fast by the time I put it down then turn back around its gone. they are all in great health and I do believe its due to the great quality of food they eat. My oldest dog is now 11 years old and has only been to the vet for routine shots. Again, I believe due to a lifetime of Purina.

I've been using your product for 6 years the last year I've had moss's in all my bags of food.had to have my house exterminated I'm going to be changing his food I can't understand what it is I think you have the moss's in your factory. This is a very serious situation. I think this could make an animal sick if they're infested in the bag

She enjoys eating it every day and I love that it is made with quality ingredients. I fell comfortable knowing she is getting the things she needs to grow.

Our dogs have eaten Purina Dog Chow for decades...my mom was a Purina scientist back in the 50's, we love all the support Purina gives to shelters, and the food has been great for all of our dogs over the years. But this new formula with the dark brown cylinder-shaped pieces is a no-go for my dog. He has stopped eating his food. We switched foods and he is back to enjoying eating. We try to mix in some of the dog chow, and he rejects it again. It is definitely the dark brown pieces, but he also is not thrilled about the other pieces that have been stored with those brown pieces.
