I have raised several puppies on Purina Puppy Chow and then on Dog Chow. My dogs love Purina so much that when my husband tried to feed them another brand, they picked up their dish, threw the other food out, turned the dish upside down, sat and looked at him as if to say, "Okay, now where is my Dog Chow?" They love Purina and so do I.

I personally have been feeding all my pets Purina products for years. I feed every dog this food. They all love it!! It's affordable and made in USA. I highly.recommend any pet owner to feed this dog food to your pets. My pets are very well cared for and vetted and we've never had any issues with feeding this food. I totally trust and love all Purina products!!! As an animal rescuer, we trust this company to make safe N nutritional products. Our dogs love this dog food.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After years of buying all the expensive dog foods, then grain free, I still had a dog with severe skin allergies. I decided to try Purina Dog Chow for various reasons. One it was plant based. Science says amino acids and protein are just that, with no difference in their source. She stopped itching after eating this food. My two large dogs loved it also. I go through 66 pounds of kibble per month. I couldn't get out of my head "if they have been in business for 80 years how can their food be so bad"?

I made the mistake of switching from Pedigree to Purina Dog Chow for about 6 months. At first, there wasn't much change, but then I noticed my dogs get weaker, eating grass and dirt whenever they could, and they got sick a lot more. I switched them back to Pedigree and they instantly perked up and haven't been getting sick or trying to eat grass and dirt. Apparently Purina doesn't have all of the nutritional value that dogs need.

Loved this product for 10+ years. A couple of months ago the formula, shape and color of the kibbles changed. Every since then our dogs, who have ate this brand of food for years, have been sick and throwing up within minutes of eating this food. We switched them to a different manufacturer and the problems stopped. I believe there is something wrong with this food.

I’ve bought this brand of food for my dog several times. Each time he got the runs. First time (and I change brands often for him. He’s a picky eater if he doesn’t have a switch up so his tolerance of diet changes are pretty strong) he had massive diarrhea. I didn’t think anything of it the first time, the probability of the diet change plays a possibility. But this has happened to him each time I got this brand. Thanks Purina.
