This mattress topper is incredible. I bought this mattress topper to help with hip and low back pain and honestly didn't expect much but it turned out great. Obviously, it hasn't cured by back and hip problems but has certainly helped. It stays cool as promised and conforms very well to my body. If you're on the fence about buying it, just do it. I don't think you'll regret it.

For my wife and I, it seems to be the perfect balance between being too soft and too firm! It really is just the right amount of comfort and we have been sleeping much better because of it! We’ve had other toppers in the past and this one is definitely a premium product. Much nicer than buying a whole new mattress.

I own this for over a decade and it is comfortable and held up well. My topper has started to break down and pill and I am looking another. I see people saying various toppers are too soft but they misunderstand what a memory foam topper is for. It's supposed to be soft and squishy and your mattress is supposed to provide the firmness. This is to fill in the gaps between your lower back, behind the knees etc.. that a firm mattress doesn't, it is not to refresh your mattress, though it will help.

After laying on this mattress topper (even on the ground) he mentioned it was like sinking into a cloud. Once we put this topper on his mattress, he was hooked. So, long story short, getting this topper has extended the life of our current mattress since we didn't The best part of this topper is that is not nearly as thick and bulky as other mattress toppers we've used but WAY more comfortable than standard mattress pads. My son definitely noticed the cooling feature as well since he has a fan on near his bed and he mentioned the cooling sensation when he first gets into bed now. Outstanding product! There's no doubt that we'll be looking to get this topper for our master bedroom soon!

Unfortunately, a great new mattress is far down on the budget list right now, but both mine and my husband’s back are having major issues such as sciatica. We have to sleep in this bed when we have a night nurse for our medically fragile baby so it’s pretty crucial we have much better sleeping support. I also have a major issue where I fall asleep cold but wake from sleep hot and drenched in sweat, so I was very hopeful that this new Serta Cool Nights 3” mattress topper would be the perfect interim solution to address all our needs. The gel memory foam topper arrives compressed and rolled into a compact square box that has a solid weight to it. The memory foam is rolled open while laid flat on the bed so it can naturally spread out and expand to its full size. The new smell goes away quickly and what’s left is a new bed that comes with a zippered protective cover. The new gel heat regulating tech truly kept my core cold and helped me sleep better after just one night, and the memory foam that learns your body shape and support needs feels like heaven. It can take the full 2 days to expand to its full potential and sleeping on it speeds up that process, so I can’t wait to update my thoughts after more than a week or so of sleeping on it.

Despite the claims of temperature regulation and a cool night's sleep, I found myself waking up drenched in sweat throughout the night. The gel-infused memory foam failed to provide the promised cooling effect, leaving me tossing and turning in discomfort. Furthermore, the mattress topper did little to alleviate the pressure points and provide adequate support. I had hoped that the 3" thickness would provide a significant improvement to my mattress's comfort, but I was sorely mistaken. The foam quickly lost its shape and failed to provide the necessary support for my body, leaving me with aches and pains in the morning. Another major issue I encountered was the strong chemical odor emitted by the topper upon unpacking. The off-putting smell persisted for several days, even after leaving it to air out. It was extremely unpleasant and disrupted my sleep, defeating the purpose of investing in a mattress topper in the first place. Additionally, the durability of this product is questionable. After only a few weeks of use, I noticed significant wear and tear on the topper. The foam started developing visible indentations and began to lose its shape, compromising its ability to provide the desired comfort and support. Overall, I cannot recommend the Serta 3" Cool Nights Gel Memory Foam Mattress Topper. It failed to deliver on its promises of cooling, support, durability, and value for money. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere for a better mattress topper option.
