Great. Perfect height and cushion. Stays fairly cool. I never buy plush soft beds that eventually sag and make you back hurt. I always buy beds that are firm and support you for years. This topper was a perfect addition! now I have a firm bed with a subtle cushion that supports me perfectly. I’ve always learned that you can make a firm bed softer, but you can’t make a soft bed firmer.

We recently bought a new mattress but it was still too firm for our liking so I ordered this topper hoping it would help. And it did! My husband and I both have shoulder issues and this has definitely made sleeping so much better. To be honest, the "cooling" claim isn't spot on. Neither me or my husband find it cooler but the comfort is better so we aren't disappointed with our purchase at all.

I recently fell & have a compression fracture in spine. Sleep was misery. A friend suggested a 3” foam topper. This Serta product from Sam’s has helped so much allowing a few hours of disturbed sleep. Perhaps too soft for a healthy back, but at this point, I am so pleased & grateful.

Really really really thought that I was taking a risk buying this mattress. I had tried others with disastrous results because of the noxious smells so my wife and the little voice in the back of my head was telling me what a mistake it would be to buy it. But I am very very very happy I decided to buy it and it has really made a great difference in my sleep. First of all the smell of plastic foam is minimal and went away quickly in a day. I placed it on a mattress which was quite old but still had no defects and made it feel like a new mattress. The gel is soft but still not mushy and holds its shape well. I have a bad back and, even though my mattress is good enough to help with a comfortable and therapeutic sleep this foam mattress makes it even better. So I highly recommend it if you need to upgrade a current mattress or are looking for a less expensive alternative to a therapeutical one.

Made my mattress even better. Relieves pressure on the hips. This is my second purchase as I’m placing it in the guest room. I can’t say enough good things about this pad.

This mattress topper is just the right softness/firmness for us. It has made our bed very comfortable. I've had less discomfort in my left shoulder while sleeping on this new topper.

The smell was unbearable. Even after several hours, it made my eyes water when I walked into the bedroom. I took the topper off and put it in my garage until I could return it the next day. The smell stayed on my mattress for about 24 hours after I removed it. I'm not sure how long it would take for the actual topper smell to go away or if it would go away. I was disappointed because it felt like it would be very comfortable.

Maybe I just got a bad topper because there are so many good reviews. The good reviews persuaded me to buy this. Sleeping on it the first week was great and did earn at least 4 stars, minus one for the odor from the topper. The second week earned only one star. I have arthritis and during the first week the topper took pressure off my joints and I woke up with no pain. I slept better than I have in a while. By the second week the topper would just totally sink and become almost flattened to the point where I could feel my mattress underneath. It no longer provided any support or soft comfort for my joints and I have been tossing all night trying to get sleep. I don’t understand how it could be great for only one week. I’m only 5’2” and weigh 124 lbs so it should not have flattened in just two weeks. I really need to return this but don’t know how as it was shipped in a small box and no way it’s going back in after expanding. Guess I’m out of lots of money and back to looking for something that helps relieve joint pain. I would not recommend this topper to a friend, or anyone really.

Purchased for the titled cooling effect and it was a miserable several nights of no sleep. The feel of cooling materials was in the surface of the topper but after laying on it for a few hours it builds heat and holds it and then your overheating for the duration of your sleep. Not a good purchase for a hot sleeper.

I ordered this online and it came in a plain brown box rather than the nicer looking box that is in the club which made me think it was a previous return or was not from Serta, but it did have Serta documents in the box. I tried to use the topper for two weeks and found that not only was it very hot it was very uncomfortable for me and did "cushion" the mattress at all. Returned the topper without issue at my local club.
