Folgers says there’s no difference in this coffee but I tasted the difference before I even noticed the label change. I drank the new coffee several days and noticed it tasted weak. I then checked the can and noticed the change. Please change it back! This was my favorite coffee and it’s not the same! I’m currently searching for a different coffee because of this. =(

They say only the name has changed Why did they change the name? Think about it They changed the name because it’s not 100% any more I was at the store last night and I was intending to purchase 5 cans of Folgers Bought 100% Colombian of Maxwell house instead

I agree with the previous comment (Seriously Folgers, We Can't All Be Wrong). I too have been a loyal Folgers customer for over 40 years and find this "reclassification" to be confusing. The new "Medium" roast classification does not smells or taste like the previous Folgers Columbian Medium-Dark roast. If this is the same why is the reclassification necessary?

The constant replies that only the label changed are simply misleading. Something changed shortly _before_ the label change. The numerous reviews attesting to this are not a mass delusion caused by a label change. Other blends' labels changed at the same time, but their review pages don't have these same complaints. It's not the same coffee I've been drinking for over a decade. I suspect the relatively new owners of the Folgers brand increased the robusta bean percentage, but it could've been a change in supplier or the roast as well. (And if I were inclined to conspiracy theories, I'd suspect that cheapening the quality mainstream blend was also justified as increasing differentiation vis-a-vis Folgers' faux-indy-hipster "1850" blend.) My guests used to be surprised that the coffee I made was a major mass-produced brand coffee, and I converted a few coffee snobs to Folgers 100% Colombian. No more.

I, along with many others, am totally disappointed with the change from med dark Colombian to med. It doesn't matter what your response is. You changed the color, taste and description. For those reading the reviews, notice the date at the top of each review. So many great reviews years back. So many bad reviews current! Folgers, here's your sign! You were already making a great coffee and making a great profit. Too bad.

This coffee used to be my favorite coffee, I am so disappointed now and have several canisters sitting here going to waste. I thought maybe I got a bad batch when I purchased from the store because it did not taste the same, so I went to another store and found out it had the same taste. Something must have changed! This coffee used to have a mild sweet taste to it and smelled wonderful as it brewed in the morning..now it is absolutely horrible and I'm sorry I wasted my money on it!

Agree with many folk here ~ the new "medium" roast is horrible in comparison to the old "medium-dark" roast. Poor flavor now, weak-tasting and weak-smelling while brewing. Reminds me of the infamous "new" formula vs "old" formula SNAFU by a famous soft-drink maker... Mess with what's good and it's gonna bite in the a#$ ... Despite claims to contrary, there is NO WAY the actual roast can be the same as before, that it was merely changed for packaging purposes/in-house comparisons. Proof for me..: I'll drink near a whole pot before leaving for work, yet stop and get ANOTHER cuppa of "high caffeine" version at a convenience store literally 3 miles away from house --- just to START my day properly "energised" upon shift start. Been drinkin coffee over 40 yrs, so it's not like I'm some "new" to coffee person.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is medium brew and it tastes like strong brew. I don't know if it is the coffee or the new keurig I just got that punches 5 holes in the K-cup. Flavor is great and value for amount was really good. I likely would not buy again due to how strong it is for myself. I add cream and sugar and it still is very strong for myself.

I noticed awhile back that flavor and aroma of Folger's Colombian was not what it was. I then noticed that container was different too. Name of coffee used to be "100% Colombian ", it now is just "Colombian". Ingredients changed too. No longer 100% Arabica beans, it now says 100% coffee. Folger's has certainly made changes to blend. It is no longer 100% Colombian and no longer 100% Arabica beans. It is now a blend. To me, it is now just a regular coffee with a Premium price.

I buy this 100% colombian every year for gifts. This year I'm giving it out early. I just delivered 4 today. The man that details my car couldn't be happier to get his early. I ofcourse left treats for the dog too. I hope others try this. It's so much better than another shirt ,robe,tie,etc., that no one needs. Merry xmas and a blessed happy new year to all coffee drinkers everywhere. I noticed from other reviews that you carry chocolate silk. I can't wait to try it ; that's if I can find it.
