Hello Patsy, Thank you for posting a review. We are sorry to hear about your experience. Because the laminates have an AC4 traffic rating, chipping should not occur with normal residential use. However, it is still important to protect your floor by putting felt pads on your furniture and trying to avoid dragging or dropping heavy objects onto the laminate.
