We found this product to be better than expected. I was in the market for a VPL flooring and had picked out a product at Lowe's called SmartCore. It was priced approximately $4.29 per sqft. While shopping at Sam's I came across the SpillDefense flooring that was significantly priced cheaper but it did not give up on quality. We selected the Barnwood product and purchased 100 boxes at $23 for 12 sqft. The flooring looks natural and was easy to install that included basic wood cutting. The flooring is solid at 14mm thick and is easy to snap in place and only required basic flooring tools such as a rubber mallet.

We are finally finishing up every room in our home with this beautiful flooring. We started 7 years ago with the main areas of our home then now finishing bedrooms. This flooring is very durable & is waterproof if spills are not left too long. We have Barnwood in most of our home & Pearl Gray in the kitchen. Highly recommend! Make sure you allow the flooring to be in the elements for at least a few days before trying to install, it goes together much easier & have it out of the box is even better.

We looked around for hardwood for a while and no one beat Sam’s Club price. The quality is amazing. We picked barnwood. From what we saw in the store. I ordered 72 boxes and they were on a pallet which made loading quick they put right onto my trailer. We had them professionally installed and they came out amazing. So far we are really happy with them. We read other reviews that mentioned they hold up well to big dogs. We have a Great Pyrenees so far no issues.

Solid flooring excellent quality superior high quality overall appearance... love our choice and we looked for weeks to get the right flooring .. bought four different floors samples walked on them and the feel of this floor far better than sample from Lowe’s and floors and decor ... ( nothing wrong with theirs just more comfortable to walk on this floor )

Couldn’t be happier with the purchase. Everything went exceptionally well. The product met or exceeded my expectations. It was my first time installing flooring and it went without a hitch; purchased and installed 120 boxes I was even impressed with the packaging because it didn’t require a knife or tool to open or breakdown. The overall look and quality of the flooring is very good. I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again!

This is the first time that I've tried the water-resistant version of Sam's laminate flooring I have used Sam's regular laminate on dozens of floors for many years and tenants have always liked them, and they have held up reasonably well in dry areas. I just installed this Spill Defense, it looks great, and I expect good things! The boards had a very thin layer of glue that I could sometimes feel along the sealing surfaces. That stickiness caused me to have to give an extra, light tap or two on many boards to get that incredible extra tight seal. This floor is truly much tighter than the older laminate, and I think it's going to work great! I'll probably use it on my next floor as well!

Although more difficult to install in tight locations than other plank laminates and vinyls I've used, the quality is far superior and trumps the minor challenges I encountered. Bottom Line: This is an outstanding high-quality product...you won't be sorry when you've finish the job and see the excellent results.

I installed this in my basement over a concrete floor. It is easy to work with and looks great. Definitely waterproof if you seal around the edges with silicone. The door in my walkout basement was open when it started raining shortly after I laid the floor. Fortunately, I had already put a bead of silicone down by the door and was able to simply wipe up the water. The only negative is not about the product but the trim pieces available. I would love to put this on my stairs leading to the basement, but I cannot find a stair nose to do so and the only trim available comes in a package so you have to buy pieces you don’t need to get the ones you do need.

Final outcome was great, but installation was challenging. We’ve installed flooring in the past with no challenges, but this was difficult to get the pieces to fit together without a lot of manual persuasion. It also damaged easily when using the flooring tools. This resulted in having to order more flooring even after adding 10% more as recommended. We did the entire 2nd floor of our house. We also did stairs and chose this particular product because it had stair nose moldings. The stair nose color was slightly different from the actual flooring. In the end we’re satisfied but not thrilled.

We installed 1400 square feet of this flooring on the first floor of our home about 5 years ago. It installed fine but don't drop anything sharp on it because it will make a dent and definitely take out a little chunk if the sharp part hits right and it doesn't take much. Also, my cat knocked over a spray bottle of odor neutralizer and it sat on the floor for maybe 5 hours and 11 boards had some degree of swelling. The "spill defense" is bull! We contacted customer service and they responded fast but then nothing but crickets. Don't waste your time with this flooring, spend a little more and install something of higher quality and save yourself a lot of grief.
