Have been using this product for years. Saw this larger bag, seemed like good deal. I have 3 small dogs. After first feeding all three got diarrhea. Didn’t associate it with food at first. The worst one I put on chicken and rice(cooked) for 4 days. Cleared. Started adding a little of this product with her chicken and rice diarrhea came right back. Took all three off immediately and put on another brand cleared by next day. Since I have never had a problem put product I put in containers. Disposing of the bag, so I couldn’t return. Out $56.

This Blue Buffalo Small breed adult formula has a lot of great ingredients and nutrition that Shadow needs. The same way we shop for our groceries, by looking at the ingredient label, we do the same with our furry family. Blue Buffaloes ingredients start out with: debone chicken, chicken meal, brown rice, oatmeal, barley, chicken fat, flaxseed and omega. Every now and then Shadow will protest his food which means he’s getting tired of that flavor or that brand so we will switch it up.

my 14# cockapoo was vomiting nightly with another brand. When I switched to Life Protection Formula small Breed Senior Dog she stopped vomiting and was more chipper. However, 6 months later and she has gotten so fat. I feed her 1 cup/day. she doesn't get the exercise in the winter as in the summer so maybe I need to reduce the amount to 3/4 cup/day. I'm worried she will start vomiting again from hunger.

I have been feeding my dogs this Blue Buffalo Small Breed to my Shih-Tzu's for years. They do well and are very healthy on this food. They are only about 12 pounds, the the Small Breed version is much easier for them to chew it, as it fits in their mouth much better.

Purchased this about 2 weeks ago for my small dog. The food itself seems fine but my dog doesn't like the small little hard round things in the food. I guess that they are the LifeSource Bits. Not only does she leave the LifeSource Bits in the bowl but she spits them out around the area. They are hard to see but make a loud crunch when you step on them.

The small breed dog food is the best. My dogs love this brand and flavor. The variety is also amazing.

This food has completely upset my dogs stomach and after a week, I finally realized it was this food. After some research, this is extremely common for this brand. I will never buy this product again.

Ricky was very interested..What's in the bag smelled good! He is not a small breed..however seems to like the size better...he is 8 yrs.old..might be the reason as it is easier to chew.

Our 17yr-old small Dogs have not refused Blue Buffalo. The kibbles are very crunchy, but now we run the portions thru our blender to make it easier to eat for the old guys!
