Great little air conditioner. I bought 4 when we had a heat wave and company. They were a great size to cool bedrooms- and may put out for bigger rooms too. Good purchase.

It fit right into our window. The extra side coverings weren't flimsy. It helped out mini split unit cool the livingroom and kitchen so much better now. If you stand Infront of it it blasts you with super could air.

August 10, 2026 our air-conditioning went out two days ago, technician said 5 to 7 days to get parts, we needed a small window unit for our bedroom, we bought the MIDEA, 5000 BTU window air conditioner, installs in minutes, and works perfectly, our bedroom is nice and cool. The rest of the house is like an oven so we will live in our bedroom until our air conditioners fixed ha ha kidding anyway this is a good unit.

Nice simple mechanical window AC for smaller bedroom. I installed this in a bright room upstairs in CA, we had hot weather for several days (100+) and this little AC kept the room as cold as we wanted it. I like the fact it does not rattle like another Window AC I have. In terms of depth, this AC is fairly shallow and does not stick out too much. Also, I enjoy the mechanical controls because they are simple and do what you need them to. You can also put this on a smart plug and control it from anywhere. For folks new to window ACs, the auto temperature control on window ACs do not typically work well, the reason is the thermostat is on the AC unit, and typically the area around the AC is about 3-4 degrees cooler and the other side of the room. For that reason, I feel like mechanical controls are fine.

Works well . The Analog dial controls are a bit clunky and hard to see but it works great none the less. A remote or digital controls would give it 5 starts

Works well and runs quiet. Didn't realize it doesn't have a sensor to turn off when room temp is reached or even a timer to be more eco friendly. It didn't come with enough foam insulation for our installation. The window of our guest room is very small. It does fit perfectly without either of the side panels. We just needed to put more foam barrier to cover the gaps. Works well for that small room.

Performs as expected. Cools well! A little noisier than expected but not awful. I thought I was purchasing a digital unit at this price, so I'm a little disappointed in that. I wish it had a thermostat and an auto shut off/on when it achieves the set temperature.

It’s easy to install and easy to operate, no remote control to misplace just turn the knob to the settings you desire. It keeps our bedroom very cool at night so we sleep comfortably. It can be a little noisy at times, but you get used to it. Overall very satisfied, great price!

3 bedroom house with central air. master bedroom just not cooling enough to sleep. had my central system serviced and got a great report. I just wanted it a few degrees cooler. This unit was not successful as a supplement to our central system. Some slightly cool air blew out but it did not help to cool the room further. I intend to return it to Sam’s if possible, but overall not impressed.

They do not protect fins on the coils in the box . Only foam top and bottom in packaging. Doest even come close to being cold . My GE and Toshiba can cool a room in 10 minutes this midea struggling to cool one in a hour. I live in Florida
