The user manual says this one can remain plugged up at all times. The battery burned out on my previous model because I kept it on the charger. There was no battery low indicator light on the previous model and I got tired of waking up to a dead toothbrush. This one says that the battery is protected from overcharging.

Purchased as a replacement for an older model. Very surprised at the difference. This model feels almost like an ultrasonic cleaning versus the vibrating action of the older model. Very pleased.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Oral-B IO series is very nice and doing a good job. The toothbrush has a lot of features, bell and whistles too. This was my first experience with an Oral-B round toothbrush and I’m pleased. The instructing are easy to understand and there is also a phone app for the brush too. My toothbrush came with the device, brush head, charging cord and a carry case. My favorite thing about the brush is the lighted pressure sensor, red too hard and green is correct. The brush cleans like no other I’ve had, especially around my back teeth including my wisdom teeth. It has a two minute timer and beeps every 30 second to change brush position, I found out I wasn’t brushing long enough. The brush does feels bigger in my mouth but, I think it does a better job. The brush has different setting I change between different setting but I prefer the intense and mix with the whitening. My teeth feel like I just left the dentist office, clean. I’ve had no problems with the toothbrush, teeth or gums and it feels good taking care of my teeth and gums properly. I’ve already bought replacements heads and I’m enjoying brushing my teeth.

So far, I am enjoying the education I get from using the app showing me which teeth I have not been brushing the correct way and which teeth were not getting enough attention. I always thought I was doing a good job, but I was not. My teeth feel cleaner and slick when I follow the directions.

First and foremost, the Oral-B I/O series 5 provides a superior cleaning experience that leaves my teeth feeling incredibly clean and fresh. The dual pack includes two toothbrushes, allowing me and my husband to enjoy the benefits together. The deep cleaning action of the tooth brush removes plaque effortlessly and ensure teeth receive a thorough cleaning, even in hard to reach places. One of the standard features that I absolutely love is the smart pressure sensor that alerts me when I'm applying too much pressure while brushing. This has been a game-changed for me, as I tend to a bit too enthusiastic with my brushing technique. Now, I can confidently maintain the right amount of pressure, protecting my gums from potential damage. Overall I'm really happy with this purchase. The change in how my teeth felt after brushing was immediate. I didn't even intend to make the purchase but I caught a great sale. We had an older model Oral B's (at least 6 years old). This upgrade was well worth the money.

Hesitant to purchase because of cost at first. I have used Sonic and Oral B for years. Sometimes in the morning and the other in the evening. Finally bought these because of the features and we do like them even more than the previous ones. The ability to “play games” so to speak on where you brush and what concentration you are seeking is kind of neat. It was a little pricey so hopefully it lasts. We’ve have the others for probably 5 or more years.

My husband and I had electric toothbrushes that were many years old. Mine was an Oral B and his was a Phillips. We have really enjoyed the upgraded features. I especially like the sensitive setting. They are easy to clean.

Much quieter than my previous Oral-B, which is great. The shape makes it a little mor difficult with my clumsy hands to know what position it is in. The fact that it wants you to exert enough pressure to make the pressure light indicator to turn green, seems like a lot of unnecessary pressure. By the directions, you can't just brush, you must keep adequate pressure on the handle to trigger the green light. In all other aspects it is a great toothbrush.

Not sure if I got a defective one, going on 2 months the buttons didn’t want to work. To change functions. Had to return it. I replaced it, so let see if this one works longer.

We hate these! Even when you take them apart and rinse and dry them, they continue to leak toothpaste and mouth secretions down the handle and it settles in a gooey ring on the charger. The replacement heads are expensive and they wear down in a hurry. Our dental hygienist said hers does the same thing. I don't feel like my teeth are any cleaner with this brush than an inexpensive battery powered brush. Definitely not worth the money
