My fiancé bought me this for Christmas. I literally made cookies with it and then the next time I wanted to start the next batch it wouldn't turn on so we returned. It got another one. I tested it on speed one before I put anything in the bowl and it worked. I turned it off put everything in the bowl and try turning it back on to speed one again and it wouldn't work so I am very unhappy with KitchenAid. This was my first experience with KitchenAid. I've never had one before and now I did and I literally do not like it because their stuff does not work. If it's cheap, it will not work if it's expensive, you have a 50-50 chance of it working I will find a different brand of mixer to purchase. I will not purchase KitchenAid again I do love the fact that if you buy it at Sam's Club, you can return it and get your money back or to get another item but I will not get another KitchenAid ever again.

Avoid! Seriously! Run! It's a $300 paperweight taking up a huge chunk of space in my cabinet. I purchased this stand mixer last time it was on sale. It lasted only 14 months, used maybe 20 times, and the motor is toast. I took it out to whip some cream for a cake, and it began screeching and squealing as the motor began to burn up so I turned it off and finished the cream by hand. The KitchenAid website is USELESS. I contacted customer service by email and by phone and there was no resolution as it was just out of the one-year factory warranty. I expected far more out if this product, and I am sure that anyone else would expect more too. I will never, ever purchase another KitchenAid product of ANY kind EVER again!

Kitchen aid mixer is garbage. Purchased for my wifes Christmas present and let her use it early because I was nervous about the other reviews talking about it dying on first use. Guess what, it died making cookies on the first use. "WAS NOT OUR OUTLET". My outlet is GFCI protected and did not trip. Tested other products on outlet after Kitchen aid mixer died, other devices worked fine. This is horrible quality and should not be tolerated from this company. Stop giving them money.

Gave one star for even carrying this product, but have caution: the appliances Sam's/C*stco sells are specially made just for warehouse sales, they're not same quality as what you buy directly through the manufacturer. This mixer is available for the same price through Kitchenaid but will be an original and authentic product, NOT a lesser-quality version like what's available through Sam's. I learned this from buying a Shark robot vacuum. I won't be buying appliances through Sam's ever again, only manufacturer websites.

Purchased in April 2024. Used primarily for bread and cookie making. Today February 2026 the machine started to leak oil all over bread dough. I was making one loaf so the mixer should have handled it with no problem. Not over heated and mixer is used on a regular basis. Bought to replace small artisan mixer which I feel worked better from the start.

My husband surprised me with the black one several months ago. I use it all the time! My chocolate chip cookie dough is very thick, and my old mixer wore out because of it. This KitchenAid is unphased by it! The lowest setting appears to adjust to the contents, which is so helpful. I love the matte black color, the large size of the bigger bowl, and the fact that the smaller bowl comes with a stainless (dishwasher safe) attachment! I also have to mention the small gap between the paddle attachment and the inner edge of the larger bowl. If I don't have enough substance in the bowl, dinner of our gets stuck on the inner walls and doesn't get fully incorporated. I'm assuming I should be using the smaller bowl in those cases. Other than that learning aspect, it's a perfect machine! It even has a cord of generous length! Just treat yourself and buy one. You've earned it by all the time spent in the kitchen already ;)

Love this mixer. Makes kneading bread so much kinder on arthritic hands. Easy to clean and attachments are easy to connect/disconnect. The color options make it possible to even match the appliance to your kitchen color scheme. Haven’t found any negatives yet and I’ve been using it daily for a month.

I'm very disappointed. This is the first time I have bought my own stand mixer, and at first, I was planning to go for a lower brand since I have a limited budget, but eventually, I decided to buy a Kitchen Aid due to its higher rating. I bought it yesterday, and after opening the box, I found it was poorly made. The flat beater has a couple of chips off and raised nubbins, looks like they didn't polish it at all before coating it. The wire wipe looks dim and has dark spots as it's been used before or stored for a very long time. Even the beater of the cheap stand mixer sold at Walmart is smoother than this. I'm very disappointed by this product considering Kitchen Aid's high reputation.

I've always liked my mom's tilt head KitchenAid mixer, but I wanted one with the ability to mix dough and a little more heavy duty than my current Sunmaid mixer. Cue this 2025 Christmas season sale: wonderful price for a quality item. The Blue Velvet mixer I purchased worked for a grand total of maybe generously 3 seconds before stopping. I tried a different plug, I tried leaving it to rest for a day, nothing could induce it to work again. Figured I just got a dud; it happens, but I could exchange it. When I went back, I was the 3rd person to return it for the same reason that day, and it wasn't even noon yet! The one right before me was also a Blue Velvet color; it was still out waiting to be sent back, I presume. I still needed a mixer, so I looked for the same color. The units they still had were all the light sea foam color, plus one silver. I tried to order another Blue Velvet for pickup upon recommendation of the associate (when I showed her they claimed they were still in stock), and after waiting around for 4 hours in town (I live 40 minutes away), they texted me that they canceled my order because they actually didn't have that color. So now I have to order online or just decide not to buy the mixer. I'm leaning towards the latter. The mixer is a hassle and heavy to lug home and not work. Plus I had to wash the equipment I used. Not worth it, especially before Christmas. Buy straight from the manufacturer or something. I've read the Sams model is different; if that's the case, it's defective.

yall dont buy this kitchenaid used to make really good products but I made the mistake of purchasing this new one yesterday and used it one time and it has already quit working. Now, I've used a kitchenaid to make the recipe that I was making before.I used to my grandmother's all the time.So I have to say, is, if you need a kitchenaid, try to find an old one, don't buy a new 1.They suck
