Federal is pretty good, but NOT user-friendly for complex K1s with multiple income sources, foreign issues and QBI....Surely there is a better way than needing a separate K1 worksheet for EVERY issue for each K1.. Also, states, especially Massachusetts, need some better oversight. This year was better than past years but still not working well. There's "PTE" now for a lot of states that isn't handled well....Turbotax specifcally stated to enter it in Tax Payments Worksheet, yet Massachusetts needed Schedule CMS to make it plug into the main form correctly.

Great guidance most of the time, but I wasted 95% of my time on just a few places with little guidance. This typically relates to some entries in K1, S-Corp, etc. Also, too many logins, too many verifications of phone number/emails, too many re-entries of bank checking account and routing numbers. This could be automated.

I have been using TurboTax for my tax returns for more than 20 years now. I would like to see more specific instructions or guidance for parents who prepare their minor child's tax returns and pay any taxes due from their (parent's) bank account, since most minors may not have yet their own bank account or credit card accounts.

As a bookkeeper I was very satisfied with the guidance, accuracy and features offered in the Turbo Tax Desktop Advanced version. I started with TurboTax online, but found it only served one tax return (whoever sold me that was unwise). However, with the desktop version I could produce accurate returns for my family, friends, clients and myself. Thank you Turbo Tax Desktop!

I have used Turbo Tax for 11 years and I always appreciate it's features, completeness and the guidance that is provided. I was pleased to see in the 2024 Turbo Tax software that questions are answered right in key forms and worksheets which helps in understanding tax law changes and client input accuracy.

When I did my 2024 tax return (I had an extension for filing) the 2024 software did not import any data from my 2023 return even though they were on the hard drive. It has always done this in the past. It was very time consuming having to enter so many pieces of information that never change from year to year. Maybe I missed something, but I don't think so.

The software was straightforward to use and walked me through all the forms I needed to file, including some that I wasn't certain actually applied to me. It helped me better understand some of the tax implications based on choices that I made during the year.

I have used TurboTax for two consecutive tax filings, and plan to use for the next two filings. Once my tax situation becomes more complex, then I will consider a more robust software with perhaps more detailed filing instructions and guidance. For a large majority of Americans this software is adequate and very user-friendly. I highly recommend TurboTax, especially for novice tax preparation.

Turbo Tax is extremely easy too use. One year I used "the other guys" tax preparation software to save $10.00. Some how it mistakenly, insisted I retired and needed to pay taxes for retirement distribution. I was confused. After 2 days of attempting to fix the issue by re-entering my information, etc., I gave up and went back to TurboTax. Within 4 hours had my forms completed and E-Filed. I am pretty sure I have using it for over 25 years.

Generally product is easy to use and walks your through each step of the return. This year, we had issue updating software as it kept timing out. From on-line community, I was able to figure out how to update by going to website directly. But very frustrating that needed to go through the extra steps.
