I've used Turbotax for years. I appreciate that it handles the tax laws and I don't have to worry about it. I can take advantage of deductions and ensure that I'm staying within the tax regulations.

The idea that corporations can lobby to ensure their existence is ridiculous. The government knows what I did and didn't do. Why do I have to file my taxes. They have the money already, they did the calculation already.

Went fine until I got charged $20 for State filing when with TT Deluxe I am supposed to get one free state filing. Offer stated 1 free State filing.

I did not like how I was going to have to pay for State completion of my taxes becuase I used the "online" version when I had already paid for state through my desktop version. It felt like bait and switch.

I think your program is either incorrect, or certainly can improve clarity, for using a partial split of 1099-div income amongst "married filing separately" returns, and specifically the box 3 "capital gains" portion of that form.
