With TT you don't have to keep track of last year's entries. TT pulls basic entries from last year and populates the current years return. It is thus simple and timesaving.

The software did my taxes ok, but on many times it slowed or stopped processing. I tested my computer with other software, all of which ran fine. The slowdowns and stoppages were QUITE frustrating.

Errors in the program. For Medical expenses, I had to go back and enter 0s instead of leaving blanks. Also the 1099-int, Div, and R section is a LOT worse than it was in pervious years.

Overall, a good product. Lacks clear definitions when it comes to foreign income and foreign tax credits. When you sell bonds some the interface is cumbersome.

Estimated taxes for next year is full of bugs and unnecessary repetitions. Federal expectations for less income next year are not carried to state and are impossible to enter so that the forms are filled out properly.

Everything was fine and went well. Sometimes it wasn't clear on whether to enter a 0 or leave blank; or even put in a 1, which I saw in filing property tax refund where it asked for "New Improvements"

Unable to skip e-file for state form. Had to go in and navigate to print it myself. Some questions during the procedure were questionable as to what the software was really asking for.

TurboTax failed to identify an issue with my IP PIN (i.e. it was either missing or the software inported my previous year PIN) and so the first Federal eFile was rejected.

TurboTax assessed a 6% penalty for what it thinks are excess Roth IRA contributions. However, the filer is over 50 years old, and the contribution limit is increased for that demographic. Very disappointing.

I don't have complicated taxes and I track expenses in Quicken, so enjoy having Turbo-Tax solve my annual tax puzzle rather than spend hundreds of dollars for someone else to do it.
