I am not happy with Turbo Tax this year. The program is only available for download. I live in a rural area of Virginia that does not have high speed internet is only available with HughsNet ()which is a joke). Also I had to purchase a new computer and pay to have it installed. I'm 81 and this experience with Turbo Tax has me considering looking elsewhere next year. I have used Turbo Tax for over 30 years (every year) and you may loose a customer!!!!

My E-File was rejected three times, forcing me to file by mail. The reason for rejections was same all three times, "PIN for the first taxpayer on return is missing" - TurboTax has space for 5 digits PIN while it seems that IRS is issuing 6 digits PIN. I paid $25 fee for the state e-file that is wasted.

BIGGEST issue is the import. Refer to the hundreds of comments on your website. The search "function" doesn't function. If I want to know where to put 1095-a info, and i search, nothing comes up:(. The payment process requires you to UNcapitalize your name, in order for it to go through. Took almost an hour to figure that out, since no error message suggested we do that:( DISAPPOINTED. Last year had import issues, I almost went with a different software. Wish I had. Took MUCH longer than ever to file:(

I have used Turbo Tax for over 30 years & I have found it easy to work with & I am completely satisfied with the results of the product. It's knowledge of tax law is outstanding & I feel completely comfortable with the accuracy of the results. Thanks Turbo tax for your continuing excellence in keeping it the best product on the market.

I had two issues with this year's TurboTax. (1) Arizona Form 323: I usually bypass the step-by-step and enter directly to the forms. I have been filing the same forms for AZ credits for many years. This year Form 323 (Credit for Contribution to Private School Tuition Organizations) had a box set at the top to enter school names and addresses, no amounts. I have no idea why that was there as the next box set requested the names of Private School Organizations to which you contributed where you entered the amounts. That first box set is not on the official state form and it made no sense as to why it was there. Plus I was not able to enter the name and amounts for which I made contributions on the second box set. I had to use overrides to get everything in. (2) Downloading data from my financial institution was a mess. A lot of people were having a problem with this. They went through the process of supposedly downloading the data, TTax said it was completed, only to find out the data was not transferred. In order to get it to work, we were being forced to use the MS Edge browser as other browsers would not work, and we had to allow access to any drive on our system. A lot of people would not agree to that. I hope this is fixed for next year.

I recently switched from a microsoft based computer to a Mac - but after much frustration, was not able to pull up my 2024 tax return on the Mac. I had to dig out my old computer and do my return on it. Hopefully next year will work because I was constantly moving from one computer to another to gather the data that was saved on the Mac. I used several different help topics but none of them would solve my problem.

The tools do a good job of guiding the user through all of the categories. Most of the help pages are truly helpful. But, there is so much complexity in all of the forms and required paperwork that it is unimaginable that the majority of users will accomplish filing in a short amount of time. The worst part of using these tools is the outrageous high costs associated with the program price and filing fees. With millions of tax filers, the company must be making billions. Works fine on MacOS. Assume the calculations are correct.

Each year the 1099 section seems to go through a reorganization for presentation. This year they're sorted by financial institution which requires all sorts of clicks just to get to what I wanted to edit. I thought I missed a 1099 entry to review/edit when it was presented under the company name rather than simply in a 1099 list. Wouldn't it be better to list the 1099s by form number and company so the user can select the one needed for review/edit? If you're in that area of the program (step by step), you know what you're looking for specifically to select. There are to many "buckets" to wade through just to find the form you want to look at. The 1099-Rs are found under the company name for example. Just list em all with a company name to identify it and provide the "edit" or "delete" options. I use both the step by step (so I don't miss anything) and forms (for the details) to create my return thus knowing which forms to go after. The step by step is becoming more and more hoops to jump through. Overall I'm a satisfied 29 yr TurboTax user having paid $16 for the first copy of the pgm. Keep up the good work and party on!

I have been using turbo tax for as long as I can remember. I will no longer be using it. I finish my return only to find that I have to pay an additional $40 for direct deposit and an additional $20 for state return. This is new and I am very upset by it. I will no longer be using this product.

Every year I look forward to filing my taxes with Turbo Tax software. It is easy to use for beginner or intermediate filers who want trusted guidance in assisting with filing. I definitely recommend the software, and I personally enjoy the desktop version. I will be back next year!
