I love the prints that come out of the 8550. DOESNT WORK WITH WIFI SO NOW I JUST HARD WIRE IT.

This is a fantastic all in one printer for home use and photo printing. In addition to excellent fast document printing we now print all our photos at home fast and cost effective. I use with EPSON photo paper and it produces fantastic results. Do not need two printers one for documents and one for photo as this does both jobs very well. Very pleased overall.

Let's start with the printer arriving, it arrived right on schedule and was package nicely inside its box with no issues with it from shipping. Set up was super easy it took at least 40 minutes for me to finish the complete set up from beginning to the final step of printing something of my own so I could see how well it works. I started with the instruction that come in the box however about 2 steps in it gave me a QR code for the app on my phone and I went from there it was SUPER EASY. I had no issues what so ever when setting up the printer, even putting the ink in was a breeze the bottles fit perfectly into the cover without making a mess not once. My favorite thing so far is how easy it is to use with your cell phone as majority of my work comes straight from my phone. The printer is the perfect size not bulky and it the way at all, I was actually really impressed how compact and modern the design of it was. The control panel can move up and down so you don't have to have it eye level with you to read the panel you can just adjust the screen up a little bit and still be able to see what the screen says. I love that this printer has an automatic paper tray with lights, When you are printing the tray slides out and when you are finished printing the tray retracts back inside the printer, so I no longer have to deal with the bulkiness of the tray being in the way. I think that's probably one of my favorite features this printer has to offer. The printing features it self have alot to offer the quality of the print you get from using this printer is great! It will allow me to catch up on some of my projects i have been working on around the house and i will no longer have to go to a store to get great quality pictures printed, I can do it all from the comfort of my home. Over all i am very impressed with the quality of the ET-8550 and the Epson company themselves. I received my Epson - EcoTank Photo ET-8550 All-in-One Wide-format Supertank Printer last week. It took me about ten mins to unbox and find links to install software . It was super east to set up following the included instructions . I am tech savvy and had zero issues with setup . It took a total of 30 mins from box to first print . I really like the style and design of the printer . It is big but not bulky and fits nicely in my office . I have used it to print simple documents , scan designs and photos . My favorite use has been printing photos to complete my portfolio for work related items . It is fast , efficient and very close to lab quality photos . I can see myself using this printer daily because of the ease of operation. I love saving money on ink because of the EcoTank I spend way less and I am excited to see my savings in a year . I have three ET-8550 printers, and all of them have had the 'Transportation Locked' error at some point. Why include a feature if you can’t make it work properly? And don’t get me started on the paper jams. All of my Epson printers are down because of that. I even had to temporarily close my business because of it. It blows my mind that you can buy a laptop or a fridge and they’ll last 10 years without any issues, but if a printer lasts more than a month, you’re lucky.

But when it comes to printing true photographs, Epson EcoTank Photo ET-8550q has defined the true meaning for real-looking pictures. So, today I am taking some time to write a detailed review about EcoTank Photo ET-8550q just to help out those people who have been looking for a high-resolution premium printer for their home or office. To begin with, I would like to adore the efforts and technology used by the company Epson for designing this amazing printer. Although the product is quite expensive, it has been loaded with many features, making every penny spent on this technology worth it. Since my last printer was not working well and photo prints were getting horrible day by day. Even after refilling or replacing the ink cartridges, there was no or less change. So I decided to try a premium printer, and Epson has recently introduced its new product in the Ecotank series: ET-8550, which is equipped with a large high-resolution touchscreen interface, both USB host and SD card slots, and a six-color Claria system with enough ink to yield 6200 pages. The setup was pretty easy and straightforward. This smart and small premium printer has Wi-Fi ethernet technology to print photos using my phone and the Epson app. Recently, my son needed to print some colored photographs for his science project. You wouldn’t believe that this machine printed all photos x3 times faster than other premium inkjet printers.  I love the ability to copy, scan, and print high-resolution photos using its native 4800 dpi 48-bit scanner. I can say if you are in a great hurry to prepare your documents, this technology will ease the process of printing your essential paper in this fast-paced life. Highly recommend it! Epson EcoTank 8550 is made for those who are in photography or does crafts daily in their home regularly. Ecotank 8550 is a wireless, All in one printer, with great lab-quality, wide format color photos with graphics and everyday documents. After unboxing and removing all the protective tape in and out of the printer. The instructions that were given were very detailed with pictures. The setup option I used was downloading the IOS app and connecting through Bluetooth and WiFi connection. Never have I ever, had to set anything up so easy and fast! The other option of setting up the printer was using the CD/Documents it came with. For those who are setting up using Windows desktop/laptop. This printer comes with individual ink, which fills up on its own. It comes with 6 individual colors using ET Premium ink that delivers vibrant colors and sharp text for all creative projects. Each ink bottle will last for about 2 years, until needing a new one. The photo will print out a borderless photo up to 13”x 19”. Printer includes USB/SD memory card slot. 4”x3” color touchscreen with an intergraded high-resolution scanner. Epson EcoTank weighs about 31 lbs with a dimension of 26 x 18 x 10.1 inches long. The quality of the photos are amazing! But it does print out a little slower than other printers. I’d definitely recommend EcoTank to people who have a bigger space in their home, people who love photography and print daily. This would save a lot of money, knowing you’re printing in your own home. Overall, I love this printer! It could speed up a little more if I could change the speed per print. I’m in love either way! This is a review for the Epson Eco Tank Photo ET-8550 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Setup is a breeze with this printer. I used my phone for the whole process. Epson App was intuitive and easy to use. I used the disk that came with the printer to set up the lap top which was also very easy to use and quick. As I said the app walks you through the set up process. First you fill the ink holders with the ink from cartridges made specifically to fit the top of the ink holder. No spill, no cartridge just enough ink to fill the holder. they practically fill themselves. I have printed out the pics that I took from 3 years ago of our london trip. I must admit the pics are amazing to me. the colors are very vivid and stand out on the paper. I also can see how much ink is left in the holders which is a cool feature. The printer is sturdy made. There are a few ways to hook up the printer: 1) wifi 2) USB 30 SD Card. I am impressed with how quiet the printer is and it doesnt shake the whole desk as it is trying to print the photo. I like the out put tray that comes out to hold the printing picture. I gives a place for the pic to dry, although the ink dries fast, and the pic is not just spit out of the machine. It takes care of the photo. There is also a rear feeder if you don't want to use tray 1. the rear feeder allows you to print bigger pictures such as 81/2x11. the touchscreen is easy to use and easy to read The printer also scans and copies well. the only drawback i found is the printing process is slow. the quality of the picture, for me, makes it worth the wait. Also with the ecco tank it would be cheaper than a cartridge printer and so far i already have gotten more pictures printed than I would with my old printer. the old printer would definately be out of ink. This printer is expensive which i would think you would make up in the money you save for ink.

I love the wide format printing. But the beautiful vibrant colors are amazing. The ability to purchase the ink in bulk bottles and refill, is a game changer. I feel like this ink is lasting me forever and I print alot! No smearing or smudging on my prints. You can print, scan and copy on this machine. I have learned to print a test page weekly otherwise the nozzle can get clogged if it has not been used in a few weeks. But then you just do a nozzle check and its cleared. Overall I love my new addition!
