I had problems with getting to change something on a form or add documents. e.g. Wanted to add another RMD and could not find the option for the 1099-R form. I went through all the step-by-steps and could not find it. I finally looked at the Topic List and instead of using the step-by-step, I used the "I'll find it myself" option. And I did find it and was able to enter the additional 1099-R form.

Tax expert Mary was instrumental in helping me through using the desktop software and tax advice/guidance. She is top notch in professionalism, expert knowledge, and accomodating, courtesy customer service and care. She deservest the biggest raise and award you have!

I have always found TurboTax to be confusing and not very intuitive. Some suggestions: 1. Under "personal Income", the screen for dividends and interest listed by financial institution, does not specify "who" the income belongs too. You have to click on each item to see who it belongs to (for joint return). Would be helpful to display the name on the first summary page. 2. RMD entry is not very obvious. 3. There are many places where you check a box and when you go back the box is unchecked??

Finding some forms to file was far too difficult and painstaking. I was not happy with the additional processing fee TurboTax charged at the very end. So the cost of filing my returns included the purchase price of the software + purchase of state return + additional processing fee. I've used the program for years and things like that irritated me greatly.

I have been using TurboTax for years, but will never do it again unless I get a lot of help following this review. As soon as I was finished with my taxes, I clicked review and the program suddenly added a bunch of new forms. I had a specialist help me remove the forms and then it happened again so I deleted the forms myself, which is an involved process. Then both my state and federal returns were rejected and I'm unable to submit my taxes.

I have used TurboTax to file my Federal and State income taxes for 30 years now and am pleased with how easy it is to use, how accurate and thorough it is, and the fact that it has saved us from having to spend hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars per year in accountant and bookkeeping fees. Most years, I have received a refund, while in other years, I've owed taxes. TurboTax has helped me ensure my taxes are done correctly.

My returns were rejected despite me using the walk me through everything option. My 1095-A information was not requested by the software. I do not know the ramifications of this yet but I am very dissatisfied. There are so many things the software prompts me for that I do not need or care about and something apparently so critical is bypassed. For example, when I know I want to use the standard deduction, why do I have to answer I do not own my home to be able to proceed with my return without gathering and entering the unneeded information. The same thing with medical expenses. There should be an option asking do you want to check your itemizable deductions or proceed with the standard deduction? Instead it is assumed if I have such expenses that they will be enough to exceed the standard deduction.

Pretty use friendly. Recommend even more side by side comparison to previous years filings throughout the process as it helps to gauge if the info is lining up accurately or if there seems to be something dramatically different on a rolling basis as the return is being prepared. Over all I like the process of Turbo tax and will continue to use it ongoing!

I use every year because TT will pull in the prior year's information. However, it is sketchy when pulling in pdfs - sometimes it will and sometimes it won't -- it would be great if it would pull in all the pdfs I have for my tax year and sort them out and import the data where it belongs then ask me to fill in any blanks comparing it to the previous year for anything that is different or missing. I do think it strange that it asks me if I'd like to help out others with their tax questions -- why would I have trustworthy answers for their tax situations? Unless my occupation was Tax Advisor or Tax Auditor or something equally applicable. This year I had to search for a couple of the documents I knew I needed to enter but they were missing from the Q&A guided tour. If I hadn't known better, I would have missed out on some very important tax information that I needed to report. Also, TT shouldn't keep asking me to file a state return when it already is aware of where I live and where I earned my income for the tax year. That's an old bug.

Due to the passing of my wife and family problems, I was delayed in preparing income tax. With less than a week prior to the tax deadline I was able to prepare the return and submit for processing two days prior to the deadline. Thanks to Turbo Tax!!
