Worst instructions, by far, i've ever seen in DOZENS of projects !!

"Lifetime" is a good name for this product line, because that is about how much time you will need to assemble it. Boxes are stamped "Made in China", and the instructions might as well be printed in Chinese as well. Make sure to buy order a crystal ball and hire a structural engineer to help you assemble it. You will need to infer many things on your own when you start to decipher the ream of paper that are the instructions. I am 49 years old, consider myself VERY mechanically inclined, and it took me and another experienced person over 12 hours to assemble this unit. I have put together dozens upon dozens of items together as a homeowner, and thought i'd seen it all....until now. I knew we were in trouble when we opened the boxes to find a tap for re-tapping threads included with the hardware, like it was just a normal part of the process. A tap ? Really ? C'mon....WHO DOES THAT ?? Just send out the problem, and the tools to fix it to the customer ? Seriously ? Extra hardware is also in many of the bags....just enough to make you wonder if you forgot something. Fortunately, we counted everything out BEFORE assembling each section, and immediately seen their were extra washers, nuts, plastic plugs, etc. Apparently, someone at the factory just isn't interested in doing their job to count the hardware accurately. Unit is very sturdy after assembled, and for that, i'm giving it two stars. A few of the bolt holes didn't line up on the roof, and climbing wall, but we were able to "muscle" them together and drive screws in at angles. Again though....the most horrific instructions i've ever seen. It would have been better if I had none at all.

Kids Love it and Easy to Setup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Put this together a month ago on my own, with a little help on a couple of the steps. All together took about 4-5 hours to put it up, including time to level the ground, etc. The kiddos are loving it and appears that it will hold up to the NW elements much better than our neighbors rotting wood playset

5 years of enjoyment and counting

We bought the Big Stuff Swing Set 5 years ago for our 3 year old grandson. He loves it and uses it regularly. He loves to play pirate using the ship's wheel and binoculars, he calls it his "Jolly Golly". He and I enjoy eating lunch up on the platform-picnic style. When we first bought the playset he was too young to use some of the features. We wanted to buy a set that he both use right away, the baby bucket swing and the slide, and we wanted there to be activities that he could grow into such as the climbing wall and cargo net. Now that he's 8 years old he has me time him as he runs relays going both up and down the slide, climbing wall and cargo net. I have just recently acquired 3 new grandkids through marriage and I'm looking forward to the new memories we are going to make.

Great Fun!

We bought this in mid-April and have had it installed for a couple months. My kids love it. There are so many fun things to do at the top of the slide. We keep chalk and matchbox cars up there for them. They are 4 and 1 and they will still be able to grow in to this using the climbing wall and the spider swing, etc. The double slide is great with 2 kids. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I ordered it when it was back ordered in mid-April... and the in stock date kept being pushed back. I had given them my money and they couldn't tell me when I would get my product. It finally shipped end of May. Their installers were kind of expensive, so we used our project manager (who was doing another yard project for us) and they charged a couple hundred less and had it done in one day!

Safety issue

This playset is very good quality. I have a few concerns about safety. First my grandchild just about fell over the edge onto his head as he slipped at the top of the ladder by the climbing wall. With no protection there to catch him thankfully my daughter was close and caught him . I asked if I could buy a railing like the one beside the slide to put there to prevent a fall but I was told no . 2) the ladder going up to the covered in part is very slippery and wide apart rungs . Another grandchild was climbing up and her boot slipped and she fell straight through hitting her head and nose. Thankfully no teeth . I would like to see solid plastic steps made to replace the railings . Otherwise it is a good product .

Best Investment We've Made!

We purchased this set 5 years ago and it's given our kids, and the neighbors, many hours of fun and play. It also doubles as a waterslide during the hot summer months. The paint hasn't chipped and it hasn't rusted. It looks almost as good as new! Best toy investment we've ever made!

Quality swing set!

We researched for a long time and finally decided on a Lifetime Swing Set. We initially tried to assemble ourselves but it proved too difficult given the scope of the project, a few mislabeled parts that customer service helped to identify, and our lack of time. But now that it is up, we love it. It is well made, includes plenty of options for play, and has already become a neighborhood favorite. With a 3 yr old, I do have concerns with all the open area surrounding the deck, in particular the climbing wall side, but we put up a few bungees to create a barrier on that side to lessen the open space. All in all, we love it and look forward to years of backyard fun.

Sturdy and Weather resistant

We were looking for a playset that would last through all four of our kids. We live in the dry hot desert of California and nothing lasts long in the sun. Wood doesn't last long and cheep plastic breaks apart very quickly. This double slide deluxe had everything we were looking for. Another feature we were looking for was something that could be moved around if needed. This playset is heavy enough we didn't need to cement it down and all the kids can swing on it with out the fear of it toppling over. It has been a great addition to our back yard. We look forward to havinging this for a very long time.
