Very nice play set!
Bought this play set for a small private school - several of us Dads put it together in a morning. For the price, the quality is right there. The kit and instructions are extremely well laid out. Follow the instructions exactly, and everything comes out just right!
Super sturdy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 10 and 13 year old kids absolutely love this playset! We've had it about 5 years, and it still looks like new. My 13 year old son has autism and loves to swing. The problem is, he is 130 pounds and can really get a swing set rocking. Not this thing! It's so sturdy, I don't worry one bit about it supporting his weight. My daughter loves too!
Excellent Quality & Love it!!
We've had the A-Frame playset for a couple of months. The grand kids love it. I swing with them and love it too. It's very sturdy and will last a "lifetime" for sure. I just ordered the anchors, and a bucket swing to go with it. I do with there was an "addition" you could purchase for the end so I could have more swings.
Lots of fun in a small Playset
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our playset is about 8 years old now and it is still pretty solid. We have a few rust spots on the deck ends and the climbing wall support pole, but that can be sanded and repainted. The steering wheel and cargo net are now gone, but I have ordered new ones. Everything else is in great condition. The swings have survived, no cracking or chain problems. About assembly... Definitely a two person job. If you have an allen head for your drill or driver then assembly will fly. If not, then good luck and plan on taking your time. The instructions are pretty straight forward and easy to read.
Santa's best present ever!
Santa brought this gift to our home last Christmas. Eagerly our girls waited until the snow melted and we finally set it up. It took a long afternoon to setup the play set and the geo dome but it was so worth the wait! The girls have spent hours swinging, playing pirate ship, water slide, jungle animal and so much more! It is very durable and the earth tone color looks great in the backyard. We went to the Draper and North Salt Lake store and both were friendly and easy to work with.
Good quality
Right off the bat I noticed the quality and was impressed. The instructions are terrible. The parts should be labeled for easy identification and assembly. Some things require assembly and then disassemble later to assemble other parts. This is inconvenient and poor planning. Ideally it takes to people to assemble which isn't always realistic. The quality is good but assembly leaves a lot to be desired and creates extra work.
Best Swing set Ever!
I did a lot of research before purchasing this swing set, and I gotta say I couldn't be happier! I come with an automotive accessory background and am knowledgeable in research and development and production of parts. This product deserves recognition, it is very well built and fit and finish product is excellent. I have underground sprinklers and was concerned about it washing the paint off of a wood set. The powder coat finish and UV plastics will last a very long time with no worries or maintenance. I did run into a problem where the swing hangers and hardware didn't match the upper bar on the swing set. I contacted Lifetime and discovered they had updated the hangers, but I somehow received a older upper swing tube in my kit. Customer service was friendly and helpful and they sent me new hangers the same day. Great well thought out product, you won't be disappointed!
Easy assembly though time consuming, amazing quality and well loved!!
We love this lifetime play-set! The assembly was not super complicated but was definitely time consuming- we went slow to be sure we did each step correctly, and a few times we had to back track, but thanks to a careful pace we didn’t have to do that often and didn’t have to undo very much at all. The instructions seemed easy to follow, but we also found a video on YouTube showing the assembly, and this helped us as we are visual learners. All the pieces and parts came without harm, every bolt and screw we needed was included, you will need a drill to complete this project if you do it on our own. The play-set once completed is tall, it includes a rope ladder, a “rock” climbing wall, a metal ladder, a slide, a platform that all of those lead to, and swings. Two seat swings and one hanging swing, with handles. The swings are attached by thick carabiners, so if you wanted to swap them out with a baby swing or something like that, it would be simple to do and secure. Everything is supported well, and we as adults have used the swings and didn’t move the play-set. Though maybe we could have if we had a “who can swing higher” competition ;). And since our children are little we walked through how to go up and down both the rope ladder and metal ladder, as well as the climbing wall, so that we didn’t worry about them doing so on their own. The pictures attached show the main frame of the player with the ladders and slide: what we were able to assemble on a Saturday, and then the others show it completed, which was finished on two different weeknights. As we said before, assembly was simple but definitely time consuming. Our kids absolutely love it and it has made going outside way more appealing, though you may be stuck as a swing pusher if you get it ;). This makes the warmer days so much more fun, and way better than the kids begging for show after show! (Hallelujah!) We would recommend this to anyone; our children are under 5, and I’m glad we got something that they can enjoy now and still enjoy when they’re older. We have relatives with a similar model, and their 10 and 12 year old kids enjoy swinging and playing too! And with its high quality metal structure and other materials, we foresee it lasting for decades!
Great set - a few issues.
Overall, materials and the sturdiness of the set are impressive. Instructions were detailed and straight-forward (for the most part, although there are one or two instances where things need to be done later and it's not noted earlier in the instructions). I was able to knock out the install in one day with just a little help from my daughter. Few things I'd like to see improved: 1. With the price you pay for the set, it would be helpful if Lifetime included spare parts as well as some touch-up paint. It's pretty much a given that there will either be scrapes/scratches during shipment or you may ding things a little while you are assembling the unit. Also, I had at least one bolt snap as I was tightening it. There were no spare bolts, so I had to do a run to the hardware store and use something that I hope will last. I also had a few instances where the piece just got away from me and fell in the grass or down one of the tubes. A bag of extra bolts of various sizes, as well as the small plastic pieces should be included. I've had those included with products that are much cheaper than this one. 2. The set doesn't move a ton, but I do notice some bowing when my 11 year old is swinging on the middle swing. She's not that heavy, so I'm hoping that is a 'normal' bend and not indicative of a defect. The crossbar that goes across the monkey bars and connects to the swing had a slight bend to it, so not sure if that is the cause. All in all, I'm happy with the set, with the exception of the few issues. Instructions and the installation process allowed me to assemble it in one day, which was a pleasant surprise.
