I haven't had the chance to use the rug cleaner but looking at it, it looks like it is build solid. I will update my review this weekend when I use it to clean the rug in my office.

The Bissell Pro Heat Carpet Cleaner is easy to assemble and cleans well. We have 3 cats, so it definitely was tested. As with any device, the only downside is figuring out where to store it between uses.
