[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Midea DUO 12,000 is such a great portable air conditioner, we have not complained once about how hot it is inside the house. This unit is setup in my living room and I could feel the coolness throughout the house. The only complaint I have is that one of the pieces were broken when the product arrived. Other than that, the Midea comes with all the attachments and lots of extra weather stripping. Last but not least, the setup was easy. I did have to look up a video to compete one of the steps but that is because I'm a visual learner. I could have done without watching the video and just following the directions. Definitely recommend to all my family and friends and I will absolutely buy more products from this brand again.

It is a very complete air conditioner, it comes with a remote control, batteries, manual and necessary parts for its installation, it is easy to install and use, it fully complies with what is described, it is for using hot or cold air that makes it much better, you can also connect it Internet and use by voice, it can be programmed for automatic shutdown, it cools very quickly, it is much better than other air conditioners that I used before, I am really satisfied, my opinion is based on my personal experience

My experience with this product has been extremely frustrating. When I first unboxed the unit, I immediately noticed that the outlet louver was bent (see attached photo). I requested a replacement, but unfortunately, the replacement had a loose piece of plastic inside the outlet louver (see attached photo), pointing to yet another serious manufacturing flaw. Receiving two consecutive units with obvious defects reflects a troubling lack of quality control. It’s clear these products are not being properly inspected before shipment. I’m deeply disappointed with both the manufacturing standards and the apparent absence of effective quality assurance.

I am using it to AC my California garage where the temps sometimes reach well over 100 degrees in the summer. I have moved my office space here from our spare bedroom and can't handle the heat in the garage without this. I did have to make a custom hole in a garage entry door for the vent, but it wasn't difficult to do. The winter will also be nice as it sometimes gets down to below freezing outside and this will help take the chill off. I am as happy with this as I am with my Midea dehumidifier!

The cooling works fine. Person upset about no apology, likly dosen't understand he is speaking with a call center that handles calls for multiple brands and different appliances, has no part in making or selling any items, and has no reason to apologize. They are a third party call center.

Keep the room very cool and cold.Design is not to big so will not take a lots of space of the room. Very wonderful design and make the room fancy, bright and look professional. Really recommendation 100% to the buyer .We really love it and enjoy with it a lots.Dont need to use central air to cool the house.Less electricity for the monthly bills.

We have a shed that she turned into her mommy space. It was easy to install and keeps up with the coastal Georgia heat and humidity. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed this a.c in our living room. It cooled our livingroom and kitchen great! We had a simular a.c but Toshiba brand. It was also 12,000 BTU as well but it doesnt cool like this one. I haven't tried the heat on it yet because its summer now. Its also so quiet. I love how the vents can be pointed straight up. It also includes different window covers to fit difderent style windows. Great unit overall and Im very pleased!

Worked great for a year and a half until it stopped blowing cold air. There's a 3 year compressor warranty and a 5 year sealed system warranty (includes components retaining refrigerant). Unfortunately, you're required to get a technician to write a "tech report" to confirm the problem in order to take advantage of those warranties. I called every HVAC tech in the area. NO ONE works on portable ac units. They all said it doesn't make sense to do so economically and "everyone knows that". Still the service rep i was emailing with refused to move forward on any warranty without a tech report despite not knowing any establishment that can actually provide such a thing for a portable ac. So, if it breaks you're buying a new one (like i had to)
