I really like that the camera virtually disappears behind my mirror. As I start my truck, it gives an audible chime to remind me that it has turned on. There is also a visual light that is illuminated, or not, to portray the microphone status. I would absolutely give all Garmins a 10 rating if plug and play options were easier and cleaner. I do not like the chord hanging down, and it is a little daunting to start running wires under my headliner. I also would prefer a brand name cable to ensure QC is up to par and that I won't fry my camera. I have many Garmin products (edge 530 bike computer, Fenix 6 watch, Garmin Fly sattelite receiver, and multiple cams in each of my cars) and really like each of them!

The usb connector at the camera end should be a type c. I'm using it as a rear camera and there are no usb ports at the rear of my vehicle. The power end should have a way to tap into a 12v source such as a cable with a 12v to 5V converter. Better yet, why not just make the camera 12V? Not all cars have usb ports.

This dash cam is small and the quality of the video is excellent. Easy setup! Easy downloading the video. Plenty of mounting and power supply options included to fit your needs. Optional constant power option is an excellent feature. I highly recommend the Garmin Dash Cam mini 2. If you are looking for a dash cam this is the one to buy!

This was very quick and easy to setup in my vehicle. It was a perfect option for me because I'm not worried about being able to see what my dashcam sees all the time. I just want to have a record of what is happening in case I have an incident. You can also connect it with your phone if you want to be able to see the video footage immediately. Definetely recommend.

The mount is a cheap sticker/glue instead of a suction cup. I pulled the plastic adhesive backing off the glue mount, tested the camera location, then put the plastic adhesive back on. Huge mistake. I haven't been able to get the plastic backing back off, effectively running the mount. So the camera has sat in the box since Christmas, unused. Garmin does not sell a suction cup mount that is compatible, nor extra glue mounts.

These little cameras are great, I actually have one for the windshield and one for back window. They run on 12v and can be stuck anywhere flat. They have a voice command that gives you the ability to record, save and take a picture by just talking. This would also be a nice addition to an atv or utv, when you need a quick picture or to video when surveying a route. The only possible issue is it does not have a screen which saves on size. However, it links to the Garmin app easily over wi-fi.

Great video, easy install, crappy access to the videos the vault just seems like garmin is ripping you off for a monthly fee. The support to get fixes or answers on how to have not been good. Would I get another one?….not without more seamless access to the pics and video, you know, the actual purpose of the dashcam

Very small, but powerful little dash cam. I like how it hides behind my rear view mirror. As others mention, it was tricky to set up. The included directions don't have a lot of details. I had to jump on the internet to get help setting the camera up. A quick read and it was easy to set up. Would recommend this small dash cam if you want a simple, small camera.

Have used mini cam for about a month. Impressive recording quality of my local driving. Will probably purchase a second mini camera for a rear view. Only suggestion would be that the recordings do not loop once the disk is full. When full, the recordings stop. I don't believe that the camera emits a warning that the disc is full. I would prefer that the newest recordings replace the oldest recordings. There might be a system option for the looping that I have not utilized. Over all, I would recommend the Garmin Dash Cam Mini.

I bought this camera about 2 months ago. I had witnessed a auto accident in front of me and the driver that caused the accident denied any wrong doing. I had to give a statement to the police and thought how nice it would be to show them the accident. I love the features, small size and quality of video. Best purchase I've made in years.
