I use Turbo Tax Premier and it handles all of my tax filing needs. This year I sold a 2nd home and the software guided me through the necessary filing procedures under Capital Gains. I have used Turbo Tax for the past 15 years and I plan to use it again next year.

I use the premier program because I have royalties, and you change the program every year. It is so aggravating. Also, you advertise one free State, but you charge for the filing. It's always been free filing for the first State, but now you're going to charge. I've always used TurboTax, but I may have to try a different program next year.

It seemed like a lot more set up now that disks are discontinued. Also, when doing state taxes, no data was shown to see if numbers transferred over from federal forms. At first, it said everything transferred over correctly and there were no issues. It just didn't seem correct to me so when i went to preview forms is the only way I caught that no data was actually transferred over. The online members were very helpful to solve the issue.

Good Tax software option. Really like the automatic populating of forms. Great job on the import of pdf files. However, it was a little disappointing when I was being asked to clarify/answer detailed questions about very detailed/buried numbers withing the forms and the helpful hints were of little or no help. TurboTax has the expertise. If they do not know the answer, what makes them think I would. So, it required many hours of investigation on my part to answer detailed questions that I thought was something TurboTax should know and is why I purchased the software in the first place.

I've been using TurboTax for 28 years now. I trust it to be accurate and to know exactly which forms that I need to complete. I have rental properties, stocks, bonds, IRA distributions, capital gains and losses. TurboTax Premier fits my needs very well. The best feature that I like is that transfers data from the previous year tax forms to the current year...this includes any carry over amounts from previous years' disallowed losses.

Seems that this years product was not as good as last years. Not able to pay and file electronically hawaii state tax return. think this years product got worse. thinking of switching to another software if not made easier load and file made simpler.

you need to made a program for people who have been using TURBO TAX for years. you ask so maybe dumb questions over and over and it was a lot of time. if you fill in zip code make it auto fill the town and state. I use TaxSlayer in the AARP TaxAide program and it has a quality review feature where you dnt have to dig for the review.

Easy to use, although I have a couple annoyances: 1) I had to enter my bank account information several times. 2)when needing to enter dates they need to specify if they want MM-DD-YYYY, M/D/YY, DD-MM-YYYY, or YYYY-MM-DD. 3) when filing the Illinois state return it automatically entered our previous years AGI for my wife, but not for me.

Very frustrated with the repeated error finding, finding errors that I do not have information for, and no way to bypass these questions and errors. I connected TurboTax to my broker, Edward Jones, and apparently TT does not like the data that EJ sends. Very frustrating working through this.

Generally works smoothly. A few places where I had to enter info that I knew (from past experiences) would have no effect on the final outcome but it is easier to enter the info and proceed onward. Really more like 4.5 stars but that wasn't an option...
