turbo tax good stuff

We have been using TurboTax to file our Taxes since the beginning, the 80s.

The Step-by-Step tax preparation is excellent.

TurboTax provides no information about Interest and penalty payment.

Overall does a good job on taxes. Stupid program mistakes makes filing electronically difficult

Did not enjoy the state payment process.  Had several issues could not back out of initial choice.

Payment process Flawed

I had to file an amended return and it was a breeze to get it done by TurboTax.

Amended return is awesome...

1. Turbo tax failed to calculate the taxable SS benefits correctly. The IRS wants $5000 more.
2. TT is getting more complicated to fill out every year.
3. TT is never complete and "Ready to go" at purchase time anymore. You get updates every time you log on and you cant trust the work you have done.

TT failed me in 2026

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years. I hope to continue using it if the price is not going to hiking up too much. The tax return filling is super time-consuming. This year I'm one month behind my schedule. Perhaps Turbo tax will have AI agents to help speed up the process for the users.
