Desktop is much better than online version. I was so regretted to try online version this year.

poor as update to software came 5 weeks after taxes filed

I started with the on-line version, but was disappointed, so switched to the desk option

I bought this yesterday (January 10, 2025) and downloaded the installer. I received the license code by email after about two hours. I was able to activate the software. I don't know what some of the other reviewers are complaining about. This is the same TurboTax I have been using as in the past. There are new features. You also have the choice of following the step-by-step data input or going to the various sections. It helps to have last year's TurboTax return in digital form to import. It saves a lot of manual data entry. Other than one minor section (ready January 18th), so far everything is working. If you want grief try some of the other tax prep software out there. My only complaint is that TurboTax costs more each year.
