This prep knife is excellent for multiple cutting tasks. It's small enough to use for apples and potatoes yet large and sharp enough to use for onions dicing and cubing meat. It has a curved tip for a rocking motion. The steel is super sharp and remains that way use after use. It only needs to be sharpened once per year with normal use. You will like the way the Four Star handle feels in your hand it has a light yet balanced non slip feel and the slight drop on the end keeps the knife in place as you slice.

This is my grandmother’s go to knife. This is a great alternative blade instead of having to use a chef. She really likes using a smaller blade for when she cuts and slices her food, and she loves how lightweight the prep is so she can hold it and it won’t get heavy in her hand after using it for an extended period of time. A well made stainless steel blade, this forged knife will hold up for a long time and stay sharp, so you don't have to worry about sharpening as often.

When you don't need that big Chefs knife, this is the best go to I have ever used. The knife is a great knife for prep chopping because of the knuckle clearance, the flatness of the blade and the deeper width than a classic paring knife. When you are chopping it's easy to turn upside down and use the back of the blade to scoop the food like you tend to do with chef knives but cannot do with parers or utilities.

This knife is perfect for quick jobs in the kitchen. Its made from German Special Formula Steel, also forged from one piece of steel so durable for a lifetime. Its also ice hardened so blade will stay sharper for a longer period of time. The handle is comfortable and lightweight, a nice option compared to other heavy handle knives.

Although I use a chef knife often, this has become a favorite. I love the shape of the blade. It's wide enough so you can use a cutting board and your knuckles don't crash onto the board. Goodness what a silly knife! The handle is so small! As small as the Four Star paring knife I have. Not sure why I didn’t return it, it is so annoying. How can anyone use this knife for cutting anything like a carrot or a piece of meat I do not know. The blade, while sharp, is even thinner than my paring knife. No wonder it was on sale. Who would buy this thing?
