Goodness what a silly knife! The handle is so small! As small as the Four Star paring knife I have. Not sure why I didn’t return it, it is so annoying. How can anyone use this knife for cutting anything like a carrot or a piece of meat I do not know. The blade, while sharp, is even thinner than my paring knife. No wonder it was on sale. Who would buy this thing?

This is the best knife I never knew I needed. Its bigger than my pairing knife and the offset handle allows for easy work on the cutting board. I use it for all my prep and smaller jobs that dont warrant pulling out my full size chefs knife. The Four Star line is a classic. The handle material is very comfortable to hold and the texture gives a great grip. The forged German steel and construction are a sign of true quality. The blade is razor sharp, stays that way for a long time and is very easy to maintain. This knife is a must have.

I have never seen a knife like this before! I love using this prep knife instead of a paring knife because it gives me knuckle clearance when I'm cutting. I also love how comfortable this handle is and the curve at the end makes for a really good grip while cutting.

This knife is built not only to last but to tackle all those small cutting jobs in the kitchen. Use it for cutting small onions, mincing garlic, shallots, herbs and apples and citrus fruit. Great all around multi purpose knife with plenty of knuckle clearance. Four Star has a really nice feeling handle. Is easy to grip even when wet and works with smaller hands. Premium German Steel, made in Germany, ice hardened to hold an edge longer these knives are ready to take on the toughest challenges in the kitchen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 other Four Star knives and this is a welcome addition to my collection. Just like the other two, they are handsome looking, sharp and I am sure they will hold an edge as well as the others.

I use this knife when I want to cut with precision.. In particular, i use this for slicing potatoes for baked dishes. It's a great choice for longer, leaner vegetables and fruits. This knife also makes a great parer!! Light, sharp and durable. Great to add to your 4 star collection

Nice size, very light weight which I haven't decided if I like yet.
