I bought this knife because I live alone, and love to cook. I cook daily because I'm not one for leftovers! I need a knife that can cut, slice, dice and mince and this does the trick. The prep knife handles all the jobs a chef knife is used for, but is much smaller and much easier on the budget. The knife is well balanced and has a bolster which adds some weight and comfort. The German steel is top of the line and stays sharp much longer than my previous knives. This knife has become an invaluable tool for me, and am so pleased with it's performance.

This is the best knife I never knew I needed. Its bigger than my pairing knife and the offset handle allows for easy work on the cutting board. I use it for all my prep and smaller jobs that dont warrant pulling out my full size chefs knife. The Four Star line is a classic.
