Broke first time using it

Tips won’t stay tight and after tightening it up for the 5th time in less than 30 minutes the top part that holds the tip bent. Piece of junk wood burner.

I bought this 2 days ago. The nib broke off while trying to unscrew it on the very first sign. Very disappointed. The other half of the nib is still in the heating element. So, nothing else can be used either.

Don't waste your money

As others have stated, the tips can't stand up to the heat of the unit. It broke the first time using it. One tip broke off inside.. like came apart and left half of the screw-in post stuck. Now I can't unscrew it, or get it out.. so the entire thing is useless.

Cheap craftsmanship...

Apeared to be a great starter kit. Alot included and it seemed like decent quality. But with the very first tip change the tool was stripped. Very low quality... 90% of the product went unused. Beginner quality doeant have to mean poor quality. Dissapointed

Fun but had issues with Nibs

I bought this for my god son, he's a Scout. We were so excited to try it out but as we were practicing and changing the nibs, the inner receptor for the screw in part seem to melt and would not allow for a new nib. We were really excited to continue and want to know how to replace or fix or incase it was a fluke damage we would like to return it for another. Rite of passage?

Many's the day i remember when i was a kid, that I felt being allowed to use this kind of craft separated me from being a kid.. I still remember my first wood-burner/ soldering iron fondly, even though it's been decades and miles ago. I was proud when i felt it was time to pass to the next generation (and no, like me, they weren't as responsible as I pretended I would be, but it's relatively much safer than even learning to use the stove)

Tips broke first use

I bought one of these and the tip broke inside the tool the first time I tried to unscrew it. I had hoped that it was just a faulty one. I returned it and bought another. The same exact thing happened with the second one I bought. Save your money and time by not buying this product.

Poorly made product.

I realize this product was very expensive. I did not realize it would break the very first time I used it. The first tip worked just fine. When I changed out that tip, it was almost impossible to fit a new tip inside of the burner. When I did, the new tip’s stem broke off inside of the tool. Extremely disappointing. I tried to add two photos of the damage, the webpage would not let me do so.
