generac whole house generator

We had our Generac Whole House Generator installed in 2016. It is wonderful to know that when the power goes out it will turn on and our power is back on. We have had to use it 3 times so far and it works great. We do have one issue, it is a lot louder than we thought it would be. It was advertised as a quiet power source and it definitely isn't quiet. Other than that we love it.

Great Product

So far so good. Have experienced two power outages and it started in about ten seconds. Goes through it's weekly test run with no problems. I do however set it on manual and run for atleast thirty minutes to burn off any condensation that has accumulated. I recommend Generac make the transmitter device standard on the stationary units.

Great "Insurance Policy"

At this point, my review can only address the installer and the installation of the generator. We've not had a power outage since its installation, and frankly I hope we never have to use it. It's an insurance policy against what has happened all too often causing distress over not having water (well pump) and the potential loss of food in 4 freezers & 5 refrigerators and the further annoyance of not being able to turn on the TV & see the news. Expensive insurance - Yes, but it's comforting to know that when (not if) the power goes, our Generac will come alive!

Generac Guardian 22Kw generator

Just completed installation of our 22Kw Guardian generator. Installation was done professionally and the unit started right up. While I hope that we never have to use it, I am very relieved to know that I have purchased one of the best units on the market to keep my family warm and with full power while I am away overseas on frequent business trips.

Good product for the price

This is the third Generac I have owned and have been satisfied with all three. The area of Hawaii I live in is plagued with power outages from a few minutes to multiple hours. The generator starts automatically and is relatively quiet. I like the self maintenance/startup feature that I have set for once a month (default is once a week). Seems to provide economical use of propane.

Up and running!

So far, so good. It's installed and is showing that it's ready to go. It's been in for about three weeks and does it's automatic test each week. I feel guilty wanting a power failure to happen so i can be sure it does exactly what it's supposed to do. It will eventually happen and I'm ready for it. Worth the price and piece of mind to keep me and my family up and running.

I like the fact that it comes on and runs when it's not in use. This will assure us that the unit will work when needed

We have had the unit installed for several months. We have had one incident when our power went out. After about ten seconds, the unit kicked on and everything worked as planned. When our regular power was restored, the unit shut itself off. My wife and I really are pleased with this unit. I would highly recommend this generator for any home back-up.

22KW works perfectly

Only a couple months after installing the unit, a winter storm caused a 3 day power outage. Our house was the only one with power for the well pump, hot water and heat for the entire time. Propane usage was better than advertised. Very satisfied customer. Bob T. from the Huzzah Valley, Steelville, Missouri

No more 20 below nights pulling a pullcord

Installed April 2017 right next to service entrance. Looks very nice and reassuring. My wife and I feel a weight lifted. No more 20 below January nights yanking on a pull-cord with stiff oil in the pan. First power outage came this June, in 45 seconds we had power and there was no hint when the power came back and the generator turned off. We have the 22kw standalone. One thing to remember. The generator comes set for a delay start up time of only 5 seconds. Every little power hit or sag will have the generator starting and stopping. Only your approved service installer can change that time. We had ours changed to 30 seconds. No only real power failures turn the generator on. Comes on every Saturday morning for 10 minutes. Connected to its own 500 gallon propane tank. Worth every cent at 73 years old. Save a lot of money the closer to your service entrance you can get. Buy the biggest generator you can afford, I suggest the biggest.
