We spent considerable time studying whole house standby generators before making our choice of a Generac. Our primary concern was reliability and we could find none better than our 22K unit. We live in a rural area and are subject to electrical power outages more frequently than most. Our system has started each and every time our power is interrupted and our essential home services are restored within seconds. This has included starts and power generation in snow conditions. The unit is quiet when running and difficult to hear unless near the windows and wall overlooking the set. Our unit is fueled by propane from a dedicated tank and both the tank and generator are easily concealed from front or side exposure by a low picket fence and shrubs. Access to the unit is secured by the set's internal lock yet access is quick and easy. Service areas are easily accessible. The control panel is informative and displays service requirements. The transfer panel is in keeping with panels normally found at home electrical service entrances. We would recommend anyone considering a whole house standby generator to look closely at Generac's offerings.

I love everything about this product except one thing.....there is no app or internet based access to my Generator. When we are away sure would be nice to click on my Generac App to keep status of what's going on with my unit.....Seems this would be a given in this day and age of technology. Let's hope that this will be available in the near future and be adaptable to my unit. Also I was unable to upload my pics as you have a 5MB limit...my mobile phone takes HDR pics and are bigger than your limit - that's unfortunate...maybe just restrict the total size instead of the pics themsleves.

My Generac has only been install for 2 weeks, and except for the test run in the beginning and the once a week test runs I can't evaluate it till we have some kind of an electrical problem which is quite often were I live. Hence, wait and see. Bill Sherwood

I just purchased a 22kw generator by generac happy with it so far haven't had a chance for for it to kick on but at installation time it ran very well looks good I like the price very happy with it I would recommend it to any one wanting a home standby generator

I have wanted this for years. Recently moved to a wooded rural lake home and didn't want to risk losing power. Not there full time and didn't want to lose frozen food if the power should be interrupted. I have also been without power due to ice storms in the winter. No longer an issue. Peace of mind is worth the cost to me.

The price and operations of this generator is great (simple to test). I like it because when the wife needs oxygen no matter if the power is down she still is ok to run the oxygen concentrator. Thanks for a good product. I decided to buy one when our Co. bought one to use at our office.

This is the second Generac generator. I move away from the first that was a 20KW on natural gas. I had no problems with it during the 7 years it was in service. I installed a 22KW on propane as soon I got settled here. No problems with this unit in the three months since installed. In Oklahoma we are subject to power outages any time.

Installation was very straight forward with our installer. Looked better than other installs I had seen in the past. Unit is definitely quiter and more efficient too. The 10 year warranty Is amazing and is certainly a manufacturer testimony to the quality we can expect to receive from this unit.

Living where power goes out often, it is much easier going to sleep or leaving home knowing this machine has my back. It does it's routine check once a week letting you know it's fine and has a green light that lets off a soft glow I check for out my window before turning in. A great investment.

We had a 16 kw Briggs which burned up during the August, 2016 floods. We moved up to a 22 kw Generac in hopes that we would see an improvement in both performance and reliability. When our electrician started pulling more wires than the B&S needed I started questioning him. Seems we can delay our A/C and save the generator, and home system, from the serious re-lighting strain. Ya learn something new every day and Generac certainly is proving that quality has no price !
