I travel frequently, so knowing my family has proven backup support has really been a huge relief. A neighbor was saying he'd done the calculations on the cost for the unit and ongoing operation, and concluded he was better off with portable generator. Good for him, but for me, this investment has been worth every penny.

Working with Joey McDonald these last few months to figure out placement/logisitics and timing on my new construction home to bring the generac online was worth it. Peace of mind instantly when Hurricane Nate rolled through the Gulf Coast, I was ready but happily didn't need to use it. Joey was hands on, knowledgeable and responsive to all communication. Have not had a loss in commercial power since installation (naturally) but unit starts well on auto start cycle. I installed cold weather kit, so far the coldest temps at start up have been + 20 f and start up was fine. Hope to get a day below zero and see how it preforms. Don

Adding the Guardian "whole house" system offers great piece of mind that our family and home will be automatically protected during severe weather and any other catastrophe. The generator itself and transfer switch are well made, easy to use and look great too! Hearing the generator start-up every week for it's self-test actually makes me look forward to the next time the power goes out ;)

Even though we've only gotten to use our generator for 3 hours since installation, my husband and I appreciate the fact that if and when we do lose power, we don't have to drag out the portable genny, fill her up with gas and oil and repeat that every 4 hours. We look at this as "our retirement dollars at work"! So glad we decided to have Family Electric install this for us!!!

Mine is a whole house generator connected to the house electric system. It is scheduled to exercise once a week then send me a text and email. It does so without fail. I haven't had to actually use it in a power outage yet, but I am confident it will perform as it should. The recommended installer did a great job.

Replacement unit for lightning damaged unit on my home. Great replacement. No problems. Just wish I had an indicator for service in my home. Unit is a bit hard to get to for my age. My last unit had that feature included in the original installation.

We thought about getting a generator for many years but it seemed like a lot of research and a lot of money. After 20 years we finally put one in last spring. It was a considerable investment but so far we are pleased. Ours comes on every Wednesday morning and does the trial automatically which gives us some confidence. We've only had a few brief electrical outages and it did come on as needed but wasn't needed for a long time. When a larger outage occurs I feel confident that it will work and that our home can be the gathering spot for those without electricity.

Our power has shut off several times since the installation of our generator and it has kicked on within seconds. I purchased the generac generator because of my 3 year old daughter, and the investment has proven to be smart. Thanks for a great product.
