We are so glad we purchased the Generac standby generator. We lose power at least 2-3 times a year and can last from couple of hours to days. Since installation the power went out twice and worked like a charm. The first time it ran a little rough, I called generic and explained the issue and they said the rough idle was due to moisture in the air filter. A common problem and generic was woking to rectify that issue.The service crew came out a day or two later and changed the air filter It ran with no problems.

My new Generac whole-house generator eliminates the need to refrain from using heat/air during a power outage. Much more convenient. Also, the new plastic housing eliminates the serious rust problem we experienced with the prior metal encased unit. And finally, no more replacing the battery every year. The new charging system has come into the modern ages and does not charge all the time until the battery explodes. Like an iPhone or other device, it only charges when needed and stops at full charge. Overall, I am well-pleases with the new, larger unit and find greater peace of mind in ownership.

i loose electric at least 3-4 times a year for about a week . last summer lost it for 9 days ! had to go to the “Y” for baths and showers,,,, lost about a thousand dollors of frozen meats ,,,and couldnt watch my favorite shows after a gruelling day in the body shop ! wont have to worry now unless the grid goes out and my natural gas shuts down . might have to add a standby tank of LP . easy switch ,,,, just turn a knob on the carb !!!!! ALL IN ALL A PURCHASE WELL WORTH THE MONEY

The generator does its test every Wednesday at 1pm and is only on for 10 minutes, power went out for a couple of hours and the generator came on within seconds after the power went out and shut off when the power was restored, so far so good and now I won't have the wife upset when we don't have power, thank you " one happy customer"

As it turned out, our Generac generator had a defective control panel. The defect prevented the generator from properly switching the house over from the electric company's power supply to the generator's power supply. So, the first time the power went out in a storm, the generator motor activated, but because of the defective control panel, we remained without power. That caused us some real concerns and worry, a long 3:00 a.m. conversation with our electrical contractor, and two warranty visits to get the new control panel installed. Since then, the generator appears to operate correctly. The power went out one other time, and we had no problems. Just the same, we have a small remaining "trust" issue with the unit. A manufacturer defect can occur in the producing any product; we certainly understand and accept that fact. Yet both the manufacturer and the unit installer would do well to test for control panel defects. On the plus side, Generac fully stood behind its warranties. All in all, we like the generator, and remain optimistic that it will give us many years of reliable service.

We purchased this unit because our house is all electric with baseboard heat. It was installed the beginning of May and we had our first power outage the first of June and the unit worked as advertised .It came on in about 2 minutes of the power going off and remained on until the power came back on.

After a flood I call the dealer that installed the system and they came out very quickly and restarted the system. Even though the water level went up the side of my unit approx. 6 to 8 inches. It restarted without any problem. My next call for service was when the green light turned to red. I called to get advise on what I needed to do. I never received a call back. It's been several weeks still no answer. I went ahead and restarted and so far the system is running and the light is staying green.

Installation was very straight forward with our installer. Looked better than other installs I had seen in the past. Unit is definitely quiter and more efficient too. The 10 year warranty Is amazing and is certainly a manufacturer testimony to the quality we can expect to receive from this unit.

We have had this Generator for a very short time. However, we have had a generator at another location, which led us to purchase this one for our current home. We are very pleased with Generac. It's appearance is streamlined, it is very easy to access for data, etc., and the noise level is low. The features are exactly as we wanted, auto switch, etc.

I had a Generac portable generator and when I first needed it, I could not get near it due to my pacemaker. With the standby generator, I only have to listen for it to start, which it does once a week, even below zero temperatures. I am on oxygen 24/7 and it is reassuring to know, I will not be without electrical power.
