We Purchased the Generac system one month ago. With the recent storms in Wisconsin I felt so safe that if our power went out we had a backup system. Having a household with people with disabilities it is very important to have power to keep cool/warm, so the sump pump continues to work, the food will stay safe and cold and the medical equipment needed for saftey reasons will work. I no longer have to get out all the candles and flashlights when a storm is coming. I just sit back and relax knowing we will ALWAYS have power!!

We purchased our Generac from Calibre Electric in Burlington, Ontario. The install was done quickly and the techs were courteous and showed me how to set up the Generac Mobile Link on my phone so I can monitor the machine. A few weeks after the install we had a half day power outage, the generator kicked in promptly and my wife had AC so all was well. It runs a little noisy but with the windows closed we didn't mind. I would recommend to gardeners that you not locate your machine close to plants, as the heat from the exhaust will not be kind to your garden.

I had a 5000 watt generator( 13 horse Briggs and Stratton ) I bought for Y2K and this is a huge upgrade for me and I only have to hook it up once this time. 😊. It's always ready for me now. Thx. 😊

Although I have just had this unit installed a month or so ago, my wife and I are so happy of knowing that we will have power when there is an outage. The cool thing is that it is scheduled to run every 2 weeks for a few minutes. We have experienced this ‘run’ and it is very comforting to know we have a great solution in case of an outage. In addition, the noise level was outstanding!

Within ten days of the initial startup, we had our first power outage on Memorial Day afternoon. within ten seconds or so, our whole house was up and running on our new unit. It was a great feeling. A/C up and running, everything. It gave us a great feeling.

After SoCal Edison left us without power for 19 days in 2024 and had surges that destroyed our switch panel and side-by-side refrigerator / freezer we updated to the new 10 KW unit with all electronic panel and surge system and new UPS for our computer system. We also added a whole house insurance program and a service / monitoring system / account for our generator. So far we are very happy with our choice to upgrade our system.

We purchased ours a few months ago and had it installed about a month. We were going to use the existing switch we have with our solar panels and the EG4 batteries but come to figure out we had to get the switch installed by the company that installed our unit because the place to connect to the EG4 inverter was being used by one set of solar panels that was running on AC. If that set of solar panels was DC like my other set of solar panels then we could have used the EG4 inverter and saved a lot of money. Installation was done without any complaints and looks very nice. We only had the unit come on for a check so don't know how it will be when the power goes down which just happened a few days before the unit was installed. But our EG4 batteries did just fine. Don't know how much more to say except we are running it from a new 500 Gallon LPG tank they installed just for the generator.

I bought this a year ago and didn't get the chance to use it until this spring - several times! The sense of security it gives me when the storms hit is priceless. I used to use a portable generator but the auto-pilot of my GENERAC saves time - and potential property damage. I have a sump pump and having it connected to this generator is worth it, besides all my other appliances !!

Happy with everything, the Dealer, the product and the installation. However I feel like there could have been a better job restoring the landscape after digging a trench for the installation. They left it a muddy mess. Should have been packed down, raked, seeded with hay.

The Generac has already run three times, and each time it worked exactly as expected. It gives our family peace of mind knowing we have reliable backup power whenever we need it. We are very satisfied with our purchase and the confidence it provides during power outages.
