I just had my Generac 24K installed 2 months ago. When it was installed it would not run. The tech had to tap the starter to get it to turn. Then he had to open the internal regulator to free a stuck valve. This is all with a brand new unit. Now I noticed that on of the locks does not actually work as the latch just spins. In Canada this Item is $8,500 on sale. Plus you have to pay 15% tax on that and installation. Then the Wi-Fi app only provides the running history of the generator, you must pay extra to have it actually give any worthwhile information. Does not give me, a new owner, a very good feeling about his purchase.

The installation instruction jump around . 1. Should list all required downloads/ apps in one location. 2. Not have separate little instruction in odd pamphlet's or in conctient locations #. After have the PWRView installed, I found that you had to download another app. This app would not accept the same app as the other apps for this generator and would not send me an email link to reset. I paid the electrician money to stand around with the generator running only to bedead ended, The PWRView app would not let me register

Just got this 26KW installed and operational today. We are happy with the test that was done with it and hope will all luck that this will never have to be used, but we have lost many a refrigerator/freezers over time and in our new house we refuse to submit and surrender to mother nature and her moods. We are betting on this 26KW to do her job when called into action.

A whole house generator seemed like an extravagance - our power does not go out that much, but with a well pump providing water - who wants to go without for even a short time. I did my research and quickly realized the generator affords the security and comfort I want, it increases the value of the home and with it being installed, ready to work all the time it is certainly added security for the family if I am traveling. Next I researched brands - I quickly found out from speaking to friends with other brands, parts, service and availability are critical. Generac seems to be marketshare leader therefore has the most available parts and service. I also learned that the Generac models are more reliable than others, so that decision was made. Finally, I chose a really good installer. A family electrical contracting business that has been around for many years who now only does generators. After electric and plumbing was done I was very happy with the finished product. Its amazing - I am actually looking forward to the first time the power goes out so I can see it in action. The testing was flawless. Thanks and keep up the good work!!!

Samuel and James from Holly Electric did a great job throughout the install process. Explained the operation once it was up and running. Heather did a great job of keeping me updated through the entire process from quote to install. This unit replace an smaller generator that was only able to run a few appliances and lights. Nice to have whole house comfort now. Have a 250 gallon propane tank to ensure we can weather through a hurricane or sever storm.

Ordered 22k Guardian w/switch, pad & battery July 6. Order shipped the 9th and delivered curbside the 13th. Arranged our own 500 propane tank including placement of Generac and gas connection. Had an electrician complete the transfer switch wiring. All tests performed perfectly. Company support during the activation process was very efficient. Could not ask for a better overall experience.

I just finished installation of a Generac 22kw 70422 unit to replace a 10 year old Generac 20kw model. The installation went very well as I was using my existing ATS. The wiring diagrams could of been a little clearer identifying where the wires needed to land and how many the unit actually needed to function properly. Four of the five terminals were clearly identified the 5th wire required a little research. It would have been helpful if I would have know the gas line from the unit was 3/4 inch rather than the 1/2 inch used by the 20kw model. The WiFi instructions were as little cloudy but after the calling the helpline I received outstanding service. Hopefully this unit will last for many years! I have installed about 6 of these units over the last 10 years and the 20kw model I just replaced is the only one I have had issues with. I would strongly recommend Generac to others seeking standby power options!

Overall great features. Love it. Only problem is unclear directions on menu setup. Needs to be easily planned out directions from Generac, more clear and concise. That’s the only problem I had. Would recommend and would buy again. Called in to customer service and Wendy was a great help.

Our Model 7226, 18-Watt generator was installed this morning. This is the best piece of installation work we've ever had done on a home (over the last 54 years we've built four homes). Thomas, Jared, and their crew arrrived on time, went right to work, and three hours later we had a superbly installed generator. It's obvious that these men take great pride in their work. If the generator works as well as it looks, we have one beauty of a product sitting outside our home.

Swain Electric was easy to work with and took great lengths to get us the proper sign for our 2-story home. We wanted the Generac generator because of its recognizability and reliability. It took an extensive perior of time because the installed (no longer w/ Swain) did not pay attention to City requirements, but we are very pleased with the unit. It is placed out of sight and is actually quite quiet. Final hook-up and instructions on how to operate the unit went very smoothly. We were amazed how relatively easy it is to operate.
