We have installed this unit in anticipation of upcoming PG&E blackout in CA this summer. A recent email from PG&E confirmed their plans to shut power off to large areas for up to 5 days. We have a well and would be out of water in no time if not for this generator. We have not had to use it yet but the install is very clean and the unity connected to our wifi so I will be notified when it comes on.

We just moved into a 15 year-old house with a sump pump and could not afford to have the electricity go out. I knew Generac's are excellent, in part because my 2 brothers and I have identical 5500 watt portable generators which have worked flawlessly for years, and in part because I have never seen a product with thousands of reviews be so uniformly recommended. In fact, the buyers actually requested I include the portable generator with the house as a condition of the sale. When we decided to protect the entire house because of the sump pump, we found a Generac preferred dealer nearby who gave us a fair price and exceptional service, and our extremely happy with our purchase. Living on the East Coast of Florida for the past 5 years has exposed us to 2 hurricanes. We decided to get rid of a portable gas generator that could only run our refrigerators and some portable fans. We choose a 22KW Generac whole house generator, which was just installed. We got the 10 year warranty from Generac and are looking forward this unit providing power if (or when) our area has another hurricane pass through our coastline. Complete Electric did the generator install. They are very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Would recommend Generac and Complete Electric to anyone in the market for a quality generator.

From estimate to install he was top notch. On time, fair pricing, a pleasure to work with. Now we feel safe should any storm come our way.

I consulted with Adam's Power to install a Geneac house backup generator system recently and I'm sure glad I signed with them. I had three proposals and they were by far the most clear, comprehensive and competative. Dan Schopp was my tech sales representative and was very professional and knowledgeable. Upon signing they scheduled the work promptly and delivered and installed on time. Their office admin were very friendly and managed scheduled coordinated flawlessly with inspector and utility Co. And no worries....The installers, (Joe and JT ) performed and coordinated the work quickly and were done and cleaned up better than I hoped. The installation was done better than I expected no excuses or by the ways etc. they were very pleasant and professional and did an exceptional job. When complete they went over everything thoroughly, explained entire system, and I set up for a multi year optional maintenance schedule. Received about a half-dozen estimates before deciding on a 22KW generator and Mohrmann Electric to handle the installation. Felt very comfortable speaking with Fred, the owner and his son Dennis, about our needs and some other electric supply issues we had. They gave us a very fair price for the generator and installation (some estimates were for THOUSANDS more); were very knowledgeable in understanding our needs; laid out in detail the installation plan and timetable; met the original installation plan and timetable; and did an excellent job delivering EXACTLY what they promised. We also had them upgrade our circuit and electric panel to 200 amps. We were also extremely surprised by how knowledgeable and detail oriented their administrative staff were. Their administrative staff understood the entire generator, electric and natural gas plumbing installation process and the local permit processes in Huntington NY. They called in advance to schedule all the work; always told us what the next steps were and when they would occur and handled all loan application and billing needs. Never dealt with such a knowledgeable and professional administrative staff. Special thanks to Laura and Meg who we dealt with most of the time and also Theresa. Fred and Dennis - you have a wonderful organization.

Reading other reviews of 5 days from start to finish is shocking when I was told a 90 day+ time frame. Install was a nightmare with screw ups by the contractors plumber, little to no communication with my propane company was a major inconvenience. It's now up and running and quite honestly I thought it would be a little quiet than it is. But it does what is supposed to do. Will see at the next power outage.

I bought this home generator (10k) for I live out in the country. This is my 2nd generac generator. My first one I bought back in 2000 (4k) portable to run furnace and a few lights and it still runs by the way. This will run everything in my home minis central air. It is a back up in case of emergency outage. I trust the people who manufacture this product and I would purchase again if I needed to. A+

This is my second Generac. My first was in the Northeast and was a 20KW, but in Florida I upgraded to the 22KW due to large A/C requirement. The generator is surprisingly quiet. I only know its running because it sends me a text! This is a great feature because even when I travel I now know if my house lost power. I compared price and features to the biggest competitor and the Generac was 20% cheaper both in the Northeast and in Florida. The unit also looks great and my neighbors said they had to go outside after a power outage to know it was running because its so quiet.
