Although I am impressed with the overall quality of my 22kw Generac generator & transfer switch, unfortunately I did not do enough reserarch & was surprised to find: 1. It runs at roughly 1/2 speed (2.5gph LPG) with no load. Regardless of what their engineers claim, there is no excuse for this with today's technology especially since it already drops from high rpm to idle when exercising at no load. It should match rpm to load like most portable units do. 2. I am unable to turn it off & on remotely with my smart phone app. I would think the existing software could do this safely. It appears at least one other manufacturer offers this. 3. The transfer switch does not indicate when load is from utility vs. gen unless you open the cover & note the relay position with a flashlight (or remove the inner cover). Note it does include a switch you can wire your own indicator light to. 4. There is no user display of output, i.e. watts, amps, volts, frequency. Generac confirmed a dealer can access volts & frequency on the generator display but not load. Although I have all the meters to measure these for testing, there needs to be a full time digital display on the transfer switch & on the smart phone app. My experience is as an industrial engineer & building contractor.

Apparently my original review did not meet Generac's criteria, but it didn't say why. Maybe because it was not a good review. My 30 plus year old generator never failed me. My new Generac 10kw has failed me over ten times. Two oil pressure sensors later a new motor, it still fails to start often due to error code 1300, which is low oil pressure. DO NOT BUY A 10 KW GENERAc!!! With the new motor it has gone into EC 1300 about four or five times. I have thousands of dollars worth of meat. I am now requesting their more trustworthy unit, apparently the 20 KW never fails. The 10kw in 20 years one dealer oney sold one unit. I am getting a little run around, it has been over a week since the local dealer is responding, the company does not deal with individual customers I am told, the dealer has to take care of the problem. My request is charge me the extra difference for the 20 KW take this piece of crap back. I do not need a bigger unit, which is why I bought the 10kw. I only have a couple of lights, but more importantly my freezer and refer on it. The unit that was here for over 30 plus years, and I lived here for 11 years, NEVER had a problem NEVER!!!!. It was just getting old, tired and a little noisier then the new one. I wish I would have just put new rings in the old one, it never failed, not once. If Generac does not like my review because it does not meet their criteria, tell me what the problem is with my review. NOT A FIVE STAR????

We live in an area where power outages happen. We are rural and are always the last group to get power restored. We invested in the Generac system last year (2022) after we experienced another power outage. I have 8 large fish aquariums and being without power is not acceptable. This year (2023-Feb) we experienced some of the highest winds in our history. Power was out for us for 5 days. Our Generac kicked on within 30 seconds of power outage and ran without pause for 5 days. When power was returned the transition was so seamless, my clocks never even stopped.

I am very pleased with my 22kw generator. How ever the company that installed it did not do it to local codes and now I have incurred the additional cost to have the installation redone. Haven't recieved an answer for the company that installed my generator.

Just got this 26KW installed and operational today. We are happy with the test that was done with it and hope will all luck that this will never have to be used, but we have lost many a refrigerator/freezers over time and in our new house we refuse to submit and surrender to mother nature and her moods. We are betting on this 26KW to do her job when called into action.

We have experienced several power outages in our home over the past few years. Now that we have a Generac generator, we feel secure and protected. This product has great features such as weekly exercises and Mobile Link, etc. Also, we were very happy with the installation.

Very impressed with our new unit. We bought a Generac for peace of mind. We live in the woods and power outages are the norm. Now we do not have to worry. I love the look of the Generac, it blends into the house so it does not stand out too much. And it is relatively quiet. Very happy

We finally had our Generac automatic standby generator installed 1/20/2023. Supply chain issues (every company we quoted also had some delays) and our gas companies meter upgrade took additional time but the big day came and we are delighted. Our dealer only does Generac installs and servicing and it was quite a sight to watch them work. Anyway, my wife and I (and our dealer) have the My Link app on our phones, making it very easy to check the units status, history, notifications, etc. Also, this product was NOT made in China but right here in Wisconsin. Great job Generac!

I have owned a generac for over 20 years,, my first was a 13000 watt standby I replaced it with a 22000 watt in 2022 best yet. Just had atree rip into my garage just last week..May 15 2025.. Generac has run for 4 Days straight. Electric service torn away from house,
