After being without electricity for 11 straight days with hurricane Laure and then 3 days with a ice storm 5 months later we decided to get the 22kw home generator with the ATS switch. During Laura I poured 353 gallons of gas for our 15kw portable generator. That is not a type o. Since our purchase 17 months ago we have lost power three times and each time the generator has worked flawlessly. No more having to come home and hooking up the portable generator or hauling gas.

We live in a rural area and having a whole home generator gives us the piece of mind we need for power outages. This model gives us more than we ever hoped as far as ease of use and power management. The self test is quiet. The LED light makes it easy to check on the generator status. The aluminum housing is durable, yet a color that goes with any house colors/styles.

we have had our 22kw for about three month, and we had our first real "test" . this past Monday night. During a thunder storm, the power went out in large area of town and according to the news report , several thousand homes lost power for about 40 minutes. When in first went out, our power was off for about 15-20 seconds then the generator kicked on and we had power again. Our next door neighbors were on their way home on the interstate when all of the lights went out there. They said they drove home through the darkness seeing no lights except for those of cars until they turned on our street and our house was "lit up like a Christmas tree". The real test will come when we have our next hurricane.

We have had our generator for 3 weeks now and has ran a total of 3 hrs due to power outage. There has been no issues during this time. Installation was smooth and installers were very helpful. Generac could update software to include notifications when generator turns on.

If the exercise time could be changed from 5 minutes to 12 minutes and the exercise speed be changed from the slow "Quiet Test" to full RPM I would give a rating to 5-stars. Other than these two significant issues, I find Generac to be a quality and reliable, made in the USA, product. It has NEVER failed me. However, because of the inadequate exercise time I feel I must manually run the generator periodically to "cook off" the condensation moisture from the oil. (NO internal combustion engine likes to sit.) The Wi-Fi reception is poor on the generator unit. My iPhone showed full strength Wi-Fi at the generator site. The generator reported zero Wi-Fi signal strength after accepting the Wi-Fi password. I ended up having the 4G LTE cellular option installed, this gave me the needed connectivity. I get an alert on my iPhone whenever the generator exercises, or is running due to a utility failure. All things considered, I would buy the generator again even with the faults mentioned above. It's hard to believe that the lack of flexibility regarding exercise time was truly an engineering decision, I fear it could be government influenced.

Redline elec. installed my generator, they were prompt, very courteous, very efficient. They worked in pouring rain and still worked like pros. I would hire them again, if I had to. The owner of the company was right on top of things, if I had questions, he was right there. He also was prompt and courteous. I was happy with the price. Good company to do business with.

Purchased from Rescom Electric-Prairieville, LA. Installers arrived right on time and did a nice, neat job. They came back promptly the next day to test run and explain the remote monitoring. The system worked as described during the test. Living in Louisiana, hurricanes are a way of life and I was tired of fighting portable generators. My subdivision is full of Generac products and everyone seems satisfied. Glad I have it, but hope I do not have to use very often!

I live in Southern Ontario, Canada, where the winters can get chilly and snowstorms are frequent. With all the talk in the media ref massive Grid Outages, I decided to have this model installed. As I live alone, I have no problem powering my whole house, if required. I do have Natural Gas: Furnace, Hot Water tank, Fireplace and BBQ; the Genny also runs off of Natural Gas. The install team was friendly and very professional, and their work was neat and tidy. Although I have not had any outages yet, it does give me peace of mind...

We had a 22KW / 200 Amp Generac generator installed. All inspections have been completed and it was turned on by Logan Electric and activated today. WiFi connections were activated. We are glad to have it active and ready for use when needed. The unit is attractive, quiet well designed. Logan Electric in Winston-Salem, NC did a great job with the installation - beginning to end.

Purchased your 10,000kw unit a year ago through Home Depot and was installed by electrician recommended by Home Depot. It was very expensive having new panel put it, etc. In the past year it has come on about 6 times and has worked well. During last ice storm noticed it was loud and sputtering snd seemed like it was ready to stall out. Propane tanks are full. This morning with Nor’easter it came on but sputtered loudly and ran unevenly and sounded like it was ready to stall out. Ran outside to shovel around it to make sure it was clear of snow. Furnace and lights kept dimming as it sputtered. Disappointed to have problems so soon. I will be paying this off for a couple more years so needing somebody to fix what is wrong is discouraging so soon after purchase. Cannot recommend this product if these problems persist.
