Having just had my Generac Generator installed yesterday, I have not had the opportunity to see it in action yet, but I feel confident that it will perform well. It did when they tested it. The three man team that installed it was very impressive. They all knew what their individual job was and they very quickly and proficiently got the job done, cleaned up the mess and answered all of my questions. I was very pleased to say the least.

Don't have operational time yet but all went very well with install of 22Kw and transfer switch that we placed inside the garage. Startup process proved system easily took the house without issues. Only two people (until a storm hits :>) ) and 2600 Sq Ft place. Write another review when the system is needed/used for the first real event.

In the first year after installing this generator, I had to use it 6 times. Once during the El Dorado Fire (gender reveal fire). It was 110 degrees out and someone set off explosives in a field nearby which ended up burning our mountain community for over a week. During that time there was no power from the grid. My generator kicked in and provided power for me, enough to keep all of the refrigerators running, A/C, well pump and TV. I don't know what I would have done without it, as it was over 100 degrees out and I couldn't open any windows due to extreme amounts of smoke from the nearby fire. I also rely on electricity to pump water in the house from the well. I was able to use all of my appliances. This generator has been a wise investment for me.

I travel frequently for work and having a Generac Guardian gives me the peace of mind to know that my family will have power while I'm away. The generator itself is compact and sits to the side of my house out where it is not easily visible. Overall, I'm very happy with this product.

Ordered from Home Depot September 17th and arrived September 27th. Great delivery service. They set it down right where I needed to install. Beats paying the mark-up at Generator Super Center. The unit works great! Did not lose a beat when the power went off. The noise level was not noticeable from inside the house. Murphy Electric installed and did a very professional job.

Installment was not difficult. Features are well defined. Manual not hard to read but does require someone who is knowledgeable in the electrical field, not a novice. Price was very reasonable. power went out 3 times while we were waiting for it to get hooked up. we were glad then that we had purchased this unit.

I can't attest to it really working yet as we just had it installed today but all tests worked. My review is for Banks Construction! What a great team of people. They worked in inclement weather to get this in and we greatly appreciate their professionalism and great work!

Model 7042/3 depending on which web page you land on. (That's another issue.) As advertised, within ~10 secs, off utility, on generator, full electrical supply. Nice clean case. To a journeyman electrician/plumber, and myself (a physicist), straight forward installation; including, all necessary home/site prep. W/o those qualifications, don't try this at home kids. Within ~15 secs of utility restoration, generator off, utility on. Simple, implies reliable, engine/generator design/layout. Required maintenance is incredibly simple and easy to do. Programming the menu, to idle at regular intervals, required an 800 phone call, even w/journeyman electrician on the line. Despite mediocre cabinet insulation and the cheapest muffler can I've ever seen in my 70 years, it will wake the dead when it lights up (90dB @ 10 feet)! Support's answer to "Is there an optional quiet muffler?"; "Touch anything inside that cabinet and your warranty is void.".

I no longer have to store 25 gallons of treated fuel and rotate it out every 6 months and I no longer have to drag the generator out in bad weather to power up the house. Best part also is not having to find a gas station with a generator for their pumps to work during a power cut. With all that said we ABSOLUTELY love this generator. We have it hooked up to 4 120 gallon propane tanks. We had one power outage for about 15 minutes and the transition was almost seamless from the time the power went out .....10 seconds later we were up and running. It was worth every penny. Knowing my family is safe if I am away during an outage is priceless. We also no longer have to worry if we are away and the power goes and having to come home to spoiled food. I also love the Mobile Link wifi set up. I have the status of the genny right on the Mobile Link app!! This generator is an absolute sanity saver! :-)

Very pleased with our 20kw generac. We live in a rural area where we have saw power outages last up till two weeks. This generator gives us peace of mind with all out deep freezers full of meat. Runs our whole house just fine. I would recommend anyone that can afford one to go ahead and get one. I have wanted one for years just hated to spend the money for it. Was money well spent when im away at work and the power is off with a family is hard. Not anymore i can montior it right from my phone and look at the status. Family can carry on just like the power isnt off. Dont let anyone cut any corners on installation make them do quality work and everything will be safe. Thanks Generac!
