This 14 KW Generator was installed on 12/8/21 by (3) installers with completion after about 6 hours. The installation looks professionally done. The generators WiFi module was connected to my WiFi and a simulated outage was successfully completed with the generator automatically being energized. The simulated outage was recorded on the Mobil Link 'Status' page. The Mobil Llnk App was showing a 4 - 6% signal strength. Three days after the installation, we had a 40 hr outage due to high wind and the generator performed flawlessly, but the WiFi Mobil Link, not so good. The operation of the generator during the actual outage was not recorded on the Mobil Link status page. I checked the signal strength of several of my devices at the generator site and they all picked up a full signal in comparison to the generator WiFi Module's 4-6% signal. A subsequent call to the installer resulted in my being redirected to the Mobil Link 855 number with a request to pass anything I learned back to the installer for their education. The first call to Mobil Link concluded with a recommendation that I needed one of their recommended WiFi extenders because the generator WiFi Module doesn't work well with dual band WiFi systems such as the GoogleNest mesh system I have. After purchasing and installing a TP Link N300 extender, I upgraded my signal strength from 6% to 20% for the WiFi Module and with a recent update to the Mobil Link app increasing it to 28%. Since this was still well below the 40% signal strength that is recommended in an article at the Mobil Link Tech Support website, I called their Mobil Link 855 number again with my previously opened case number and was told they didn't have any further recommendations to improve the WiFi signal and 28% was probably good enough to avoid disconnects. I think this should have been a turn key installation with the installer assessing what is existing at the proposed installation site, quoting what is required to make the system work as recommended (including the WiFi Module) and then assuring it does so when the installation is completed. I think there needs to be a WiFi antenna external to the generator housing, but apparently Generac doesn't yet.

I decided to buy a whole home generator. After reading lots of review Generac was the clear choice. I called Optimize EGS in Baton Rouge, they came out and explained the process. The crew came to install a Guardian 22 kw unit. The were professional and did a great job with the entire process. We ran a test run after the install. I am now prepared for any outages now! No more one month outage after hurricanes!!!!

I’ve been waiting a long time to purchase my Generac Whole Home Generator. Having my new generator gives me a great sense of security. Since I was a child with Hurricane Betsy, we’ve never left our home for any of Louisiana’s hurricanes, We suffered thru the power outages and the heat and lots of ice chest full of food and drink. Pulling electrical cords and fans thru our home. And now we’ll be living in absolute comfort from the moment our power goes out to the moment our wonderful lineman restore power to our grid. Thank you Generac for having such a necessary product at a very affordable price.

July 6/23 Tony and crew Mitchell & Jacob completed the full instal with a mini demo of power fail. Sat July 8/23 had a slight problem with the Mobil Link and contacted Mobil link Support and Todd had us online in no time a very nice informative feature. Given that I have full COPD and require 24/7 home oxygen this type of product gives Judy and myself a great deal of comfort/peace of mind that we will be looked after in the event of a power fail. Why did I pick a Generac Standby Natural Gas generator? There are many reasons. First, I purchased my first 15 KW Generator Standby Generator, Model 04760, in 2005. It has been through many power outages over the years and has come on overtime. Secondly, this year with Hurricane Irma, we lost power for over 60 hours and my Generac Generator worked continually with no problems. I had AC, lights, refrigerator, stove and everything else while most of my street did not. Could not ask for a more reliable unit. Thirdly, having Natural Gas to the generator provides the needed fuel without refilling anything tank. Fourth, the Automatic Transfer Switch worked just like it was design to do. This is some of the reasons, I had a new Generac 22 KW generator installed this past week. It quieter when running and Exercise Timer provides the necessary exercise of the generator on a week cycle. This is great for the unit living near the beach. Also, the new Hurricane pad is great for us that live in Florida. Could say more for the wonderful Generac Standby Generator. John Hilliard

we live in a rural area, and several times a year have power outages lasting 1-2 weeks, with one outage lasting 3 weeks! My portable generator was ok, but costs $30.00/day for gas, and I had to get up in the middle of the night to fill it up. Not to mention that if I was not home, my wife was unable to start it up, etc. No more! Within a few seconds of power-loss, everything is back to normal...my well, AC, furnace, everything! Awesome.

We have had 4 major power outages since the first of the year. We searched the internet for different manufactures of home standby generator systems and decided that Generac was the best value. Its appearance is good and we were pleased with the Generac certified technicians who did the installation.

Wrote a review when the unit was installed; 17 months later after its first application, I want to update. Power went out in the morning and between 20 & 30 seconds later the generator kicked in and performed flawlessly {for the next 3 hr and 56 min} until the power was restored. This is what the unit was purchased for and did not disappoint one little bit. Worth the peace of mind. I would recommend to any one seeking reliable performance and dedicated yearly maintenance.

My old Generac whole house generator lasted 19 years. Since I had to replace it, I stayed with Generac because of my first-hand knowledge of its reliability. I was thoroughly pleased with the installation by Metro Electric and the professionalism of the installers. Since this model has so many more automated features, Jason took the time to explain all the new features. I really like that I can use the app to see if my weekly exercise took place.

Just bought this 22kw Generator to replace a 12kW Dayton that no longer worked. This is way better. Two things I would like to see on the website with the description and Brochures. 1. A downloadable Owners Manual. 2. Direct link to repair parts and service packages. Otherwise a great Generator. I especially like the 10 Yr extended warentee. This clinched the deal for me.
