having this system for 1.5 years and having power out on 2 occasions really makes life better. Only issues I had was once in the winter the power was out and temp was 24f. With generator running the central heat kicked on and the generator shut down. Found out the heater draw was 22000 watts and with blower on and lights it was too much on the system and it shut down. From. That point I shut down central heat and used small plug in heaters. I need to add a kill switch so when transfer kicked in ot would disable the central heat.

From start to finish the process was excellent and everyone was very knowledgeable, Haven't had the chance to use this product because power outages so far but I know we will. Do not have the worries or concerns since purchasing this producrt and would recommend to others.

I just had the generator installed since we have been having storms with power outages and it takes our electric company anywhere from 7-13 days to fix the problem. This is a god send to save our food, have heat and a/c and being able to do laundry. Without the generator it was always inconvenient.

From start to finish, I am impressed with Generac, their dealer and the product. Amazed at all the "smart" features the system has, which calms any anxiety regarding a learning curve or manual processes. The installation was managed wonderfully and the generator has a smart and sleek appearance. I recommend this product to anyone who wants a more permanent (and lasting) solution to power outages--especially in areas that are frequently impacted by hurricanes.

I had this generator installed and the first night we lost electrict power and the Generac kicked on in just a few seconds. I am very happy with the Generac. The company that installed the electrical services were very knowledgeable about the generator and very professional in their insulation.

The installation was easy while the company rewired my house and installed the genrator in a weeks time. It took longer to get the city inspection because gas and electric both had to be inspected with electric twice. The company that installed it spent time making sure I knew how to operate every aspect of the generator. It is on the same side of the house and I can sleep right through the weekly check. I sleep less than 10 from the unit. It solved the fear of my family being without power due weather or power delivery issues while at work. During the test run it ran all the major appliances without a problem. I got the 10 year extended warranty for free.

When it works it is great, but it does not work consistently when needed. Red light keeps coming on and I question the decision to purchase this. No sooner did I get it paid off all my problems started and I have been dealing with gremlins ever since. Really do your research to make sure this brand is what you want.

Our unit was put into service today. It tested out perfectly, and handled both of our home’s AC units running at the same time without flinching. Having this asset will be a great stress reducer during hurricane season and when Texas gets its occasional strong winter cold spell.
