I purchased Generac because of its reputation in the field. Most of the cellular communications field use these for backup power so I figured if they trust it to keep millions of dollars of equipment on the air why not me. My unit has worked faultlessly so far and I expect it to for many more years. The weekly exercise program and the auto start features are a god send. Being up in the mountains where we get heavy snow and loose power a lot, my worries are over and I can live with out worries of food spoiling no heat and the ability to cook for the family. If I did it again I would pick the exact same unit and have showed it to numerous neighbors and friends with demos.

My first Generac was a 7.5kw for a large home of about 5K sq ft. Worked fine for about 16 years, covered 70% of home functions - generally more than enough to be comfortable and survive. Was rusty and finally a board failed. The new model is a 10K wifi capable unit. Looks great, works great and takes care of about 90% of our home, which again is more than enough - about the only thing not covered is the AC, but since I am in Northern US - not a big deal! Just Super - get one - you won't be sorry.

We live on a farm and having electric is a necessity to run our well for water for our 40 plus Boer meat goats. As we are aging we were looking for a "hands off" power source to keep us in power. We were using a portable generator. This generator did not run our well to supply water for our goats. So we had to haul water from another water source. It was also labor intensive to continually add fuel. We are now very relieved to know when the "lights go out" the "Generac will go on". We are extremely pleased with our Generac Guardian 22kW generator.

We added this 22kw unit when we built an addition on the house. No more running drop cords or dealing with the issues of running a portable generator. This unit runs the entire house during a power outage, automatically. The Mobile Link feature also keeps me informed of it's operation no matter where I am. Highly recommend this product!

We had our 22Kw generator installed last fall just in time for hurricane season. The Carolina's get a lot of hurricanes that affect the inland areas as well as the coast. Plus our ice storms cause a lot of power outages. It is really reassuring having the Generac. We can stay cool in the heat and warm when cold.

I just had my Generac 24K installed 2 months ago. When it was installed it would not run. The tech had to tap the starter to get it to turn. Then he had to open the internal regulator to free a stuck valve. This is all with a brand new unit. Now I noticed that on of the locks does not actually work as the latch just spins. In Canada this Item is $8,500 on sale. Plus you have to pay 15% tax on that and installation. Then the Wi-Fi app only provides the running history of the generator, you must pay extra to have it actually give any worthwhile information. Does not give me, a new owner, a very good feeling about his purchase.

Living along the Gulf Coast having a Genrac backup gas generator provides peace of mind should the inevitable hurricane arrive. But we also have intermittent power outages and a 2021 winter storm that kicked Texas’ butt! So having moved to a new home we were quick to call our Genrac rep and order a new generator for this home also; we installed our first a few years ago in the townhouse we previously owned. The Genrac was a good selling feature for us and important to the new homeowners also!

Overall this unit met all my expectations. It worked the first time it was turned on transferring to the load correctly and shutting off. The unit looks good next to the house and has very understandable features. The unit has just been installed so will have to see over time about reliability. I would recommend this product to anyone having reliability problems with their local electric utility.

My 22kw generator, gives me peace of mind, in the case of a power outage. It is quiet and efficent. With it's automatic activation during an outage ,is one less thing i have worry about during these stressed times. I feel confident and secure knowing we will have electricity in the event of a power outage.

I had an electrician install this generator brand new out of the box. It started right up and worked fine, however we couldn't get the Wifi module to work. I called Mobilelink and we couldn't figure it out, so I had to have a service tech come out to trouble shoot. Turns out the wifi module wasn't even plugged in. So we plugged it in, connect to the internet and did a software update that ultimately fried the control unit, so now the generator won't even start. The control unit is now on order and am waiting with a very expensive giant paperweight sitting in my yard. To make matters worse, there is currently a heat wave with rolling power outages and my generator is just sitting there doing nothing except burning a hole in my pocket.
