We are very happy with our recent purchase of the 18KW Guardian compatible Wifi and it was just fantastic to hear for the first time the noise coming from outside in a matter of seconds after a recent power outage. No more worries for getting water in our basement, just peace of mind from now on. Plus, no more freezing in the winter, especially after experiencing up to 17 days without electricity.

Well our Generac 22K generator is ready every second every hour of everyday 24/7 peace of mind. Completely satisfied with our generator, comes on once a week for 10 min to do a self test, great feature. We did lose power this winter season and just like generac said the unit will kick on in 10 seconds. Restored power to the house!!!! At that point I said it was worth every penny. Just had this unit installed. We are excited to have the peace of mind it brings, knowing that when there is a power outage we will have back up power. Installation was a breeze due to Dawg Electrical. Rocky was so easy to work with. Quick and easy on our part....Also love the features on this unit.

Had unit installed May 2018 so we would have A/C in the event of a hurricane related power outage similar to outage during Hurricane Irma in 2017 when we were 5 days without power. As of June 2022 annual service the unit had only 25.5 hrs on meter. So until September 28, 2022 when Hurricane Ian hit and we lost power we had no experience with extended run time. Owner's manual indicated need to check oil frequently as it might need oil added. I had assumed after June 2022 service the unit would have enough oil to run safely for a minimum of 24 hours without getting a low oil warning. Due to the rain and wind it was not possible check the oil and at 27 hrs (9/29/22) the unit stopped under low oil warning. I had only 2 quarts of the required oil. A check 12 hrs later indicated it had gone through a quart so I had to reduce load until I could get more oil on 9/30/22. I was not pleased that after 39 hr run time I had to severely reduce the load and go without A/C- the main reason I bought the unit for. The owner's manual NEEDS to indicate the potential amount the generator may use during 12 hr continuous usage so people have an appropriate amount of oil on hand. I had no idea the unit would use 2 quarts a day. In the future I will have at least 10 quarts of oil on hand. Other than this annoying lesson learned I am happy with the unit.

I proactively replaced a 15 yo Generac with a new one 2 1/2 years ago. The new 10kW model installed easily and has exercised weekly and been serviced annually without fail. We are in the middle of a pretty rough ice storm in Portland. 3 days into service the device quit. Repair folks say the main engine seal is shot and can't be immediately repaired. They went on to comment that the newer units just aren't the same quality. Pretty disappointing to have it fail in the time of need. As a much less important aside, the device also repeatedly drops internet connection.

The purchase, installation and certified startup went very well. The first year of service with five hours of run time required three warranty visits by the certified startup company. The first warranty call was due to the generator over cranking and loose bolts on the frame. The certified startup company addressed these issues quickly. The second warranty call was due to an oil leak. The certified startup company found loose hose connections around the engine and cooler. They replaced the factory clamps with adjustable clamps. Once again they did a great job. The third warranty call was due to another oil leak. This time the certified startup company found the front engine seal leaking. This was a major repair as they had to remove the entire end of the generator. Once again, they did a great job. At this point, I started asking questions about the warranty and extended warranties. I was given the warranty registration details from the certified startup company and was told to call Generac. I called the main number and was told to call the power group as they handled extended warranties. I called the power group and was told my generator was not registered to call the main number again. I called the main number again and they stated the generator was registered and to call the power group again. Well after many calls I realized I could not fix their departmental communication problem and gave up. I do believe Generac is a good company which is why I still recommended the product. However, I would highly recommend reviewing other manufacturers offers, as I unfortunately found afterwards that they have better warranties and very good reviews as well.

After living through Wilma and all the other hurricanes that have hit South Florida, I finally said enough is enough. I purchased the Generac 22K and had it professionally installed. We did the test run, and everything worked without fail. We turned on every appliance and could not tell I was on generator power. Solid product and I am sure this is going to reduce a lot of anxiety during the next storm. The way 2020 is going I am sure a hurricane will be coming our way. I had to call the Generac customer support line for assistance with the app and getting connection and the support staff are awesome. So, Generac hits a home run, great product and great people.

I've had my Generator installed for about a year now. It got it's 19 hour hot summer workout that just ended. What a great investment is my main thought right now! I was able to help out neighbors with phone charging, refrigerator use and for a while until internet provider co. went offline, even that. I was gently teased for not trusting the electric company's tree trimming to take care of our neighborhood's frequent outage issues in the past. Who's laughing now? This first time usage has totally assured me that this product performs as promised. Extremely happy customer.

Platinum Group did a fantastic job with the installation of my generator. They walked me through the trouble shooting which was really really helpful. Great purchase for peace of mind - I would recommend a Generac and Platinum Group for a job well done

I have a portable 15 kw generator so i just had bought a 22 kw home stand by generator today because of the workmanship of the item. I have had no problems with the installation and Gault Electric was right there when they said they would be there, They cleaned up afterward and all the inspections passed the first time. If your going to buy a home stand by generator, GET A GENERIC. I think they are the best out there.
