Recently had Generac Gaurdian series generator installed to replace older generator. The purchase and installation process was an outstanding experience.Karriker Electrical Service (Salisbury, NC) were tremendous to work with. They were knowledgeable, came when they said they would and did what they said they would do.(unusual for our community!). The removal of the old system and installation of the new went without a hitch. I would highly recommend Karrikers! That being said, dealing with the Generac Company has been less than satisfying. There have been ten minute waits while trying to reach a person on the phone. The process for applying for the ten year warranty would not work for me. Mobilelink has not worked for more than 48 hours at a time (even with a 60-70% indicated wi-fi signal). I can only hope the generator is more reliable than the company has been so far.

I had been looking at other backup generators and I got a quote from another brand.. They were $2500+ higher than the Generac 7209 and I got a bigger unit! 24K vs 20K Folks had it installed in a day and then next day we had an hour power disruption. Generator worked like a charm. Could not have been anymore pleased. Didn't have a problem with 3500ft home electrical needs.

Great generator, have hat the 22 kw for 2 years. Just run into a situation with Hurricane Laura. Had to evacuate because of storm. If power goes out, generator kicks on. What if house gets damaged, Do I really want to be feeding electricity to the house. No way to shut off remotely. Something to think about. Put something in the mobile link to kill generator by remote.

This 10 kw, 7171, is a great replacement for my 10 year old portable unit. No more pulling cables from the shed 65 feet to the house, and gas cans. Actually looking forward to a power failure. Once everything was assembled installation was about 5 hours. Love it

We decided to purchase a whole house generator after the February 2021 freeze in Texas. We looked at several companies and generator brands and choose a 24KW whole house, Wi-Fi Generac. It will support our heating and cooling unit, as well as anything we may need should the power go out for any reason. We signed the contract in June and the final start-up was January 5th. A long time, but it was worth the wait! The unit is top notch and we are very happy with the product and the company that installed it. We do have one suggestion for Generac, why not make either put your logo on both sides of the unit or make both a left hand and right-hand installation so based on where the unit is installed in the yard, your logo shows. We had to install ours on the left side of the yard, so the exhaust blows away from the fence, so the Generac logo faces the fence. If we faced it with Generac showing the exhaust would blow into the eves of our house....just a thought/suggestion.

Unbelievable! Power goes out, count to 6, and pow! You have power! The entire house! We turned on electric dryer, electric oven and A/C unit all at the same time to test and nothing failed! The lights didn't even flicker! Not to mention 3 refrigerators were plugged in as well. You can't go wrong with Generac! Put piece of mind in your future!!! Thank you!

Our home Generac Generator evaluation, selection, & installation process was outstanding - from start to finish. Our Generac dealer provided all relevant product information on sizing, installation, & customer operation of our new generator. Installation & operation was completed in one day. The 26KW Generac generator will now power our entire Texas home. With the Texas power grid being subject to possible unexpected power outages, the Generac generator provides a great comfort knowing we will have backup power in the event of an unplanned power interruption. A Generac Generator is a great option for proving power during unpredictable commercial power outages.

We had the unit installed to replace an older outdated unit. This new unit was powerful and installed in 4 hours! We were hit by Hurricane Irma two days later and of course lost power. The unit cranked right up and provided the whole house with all the power we needed. It ran both large a/c units and the water pump along with everything else necessary to be comfortable. It runs very quiet for such a powerful unit. I recommend this unit with no reservations. It ran for three days straight before the power was restored. Life saver! thank you.

Swain Electric was easy to work with and took great lengths to get us the proper sign for our 2-story home. We wanted the Generac generator because of its recognizability and reliability. It took an extensive perior of time because the installed (no longer w/ Swain) did not pay attention to City requirements, but we are very pleased with the unit. It is placed out of sight and is actually quite quiet. Final hook-up and instructions on how to operate the unit went very smoothly. We were amazed how relatively easy it is to operate. I'll have to write another review after our first power outage. Just had the unit installed and can't comment on too much yet but it does give us some peace of mind and just a bit of worry that it will actually do what it's supposed to do. Chris, our startup rep, was so knowledgeable - I doubt we'll remember 3/4 of what he told us but if we need him, he can walk us through whatever it needs. Shouldn't even say this but I'm almost hoping for a power outage!
