Never a problem with whole house transfer switch. Storms don't bother us. System has monthly start-ups to keep battery fresh. Auto warning system works great if oil needs changed or a problem has occurred. This is my second generator and am very happy.

My 18kw whole house generator with transfer switch was installed by United Electric,Wisconsin Dells Wisconsin. The crew showed up on-time on June 26th as promised. They went right to work. They were completed by 3pm. They had duga 9 foot trench to bury the wire to the box. It was all filled in like it was never there. Clean job. No fingerprints or dirt anywhere. They fully explained the operation. Started and ran unit. The only problem I and United have is the manufacturer balking at providing the 10 year warranty ( so United says)as promised. I would recommend United Whole heartedly.

If you think by just buying a Generac backup generator, you’ll receive the extended 7 year warranty, you’d be wrong. You absolutely MUST follow certain “rules” to the letter. If you don’t follow a strict set of criteria, you will not qualify. I think their procedure for this is very misleading. Not very customer friendly in this respect. I did my research thoroughly and still didn’t qualify because of nitpicking. Sad! Other then that, I have no negative feedback.

We had it installed on Jan 20, 2021...and of course, we haven't had an outage yet. Every Monday at Noon, it exercise's itself and I noticed it didn't really start on the first try, it stumbled. On the second try it would start. I contacted my dealer and they checked it out to find that the fuel pin gasket was twisted and the fuel regulator/diaphragm unit needed to be replaced. They did it on the spot and its been working fine ever since. Must have been a factory issue. Was very happy with the dealers response.

The wiring connections were mislabeled so the electrician had to spend hours with product support to figure it out. It actually came from the factory with the control wire connection points mislabeled. This additional time really increased the cost of the install. This 24kW doesn't run my tools as well as the 7kW Honda I had. Never should have switched to a Generac that is rated with 3 times as much output. Never get Generac'ed again.

No more messing around with a portable generator, trying to pull the cord to start it, filling it, being sure we have enough cans of gas for an emergency! Hoping we are home when the power goes out so that we can start the generator going, or if it runs out of fuel. With our Generac 22KW Guardian whole-house generator, we don’t have to worry. Nice-looking unit. So quiet compared to portable generators. Best features:Transfer switch kicks on automatically whenever there is a power outage. Powers up and checks itself periodically, green light/yellow light/red light alerts us if something is wrong. Overall, a great investment that adds value to our Florida home if/when we want to sell. Love it!

This generator has great features and the installation crew from Holly Electric Inc, Samuel, Matt and Carl did a fantastic job i terrible weather conditions to complete the install and setup. Would highly recommend this product and Holly Electric to anyone wanting whole house coverage in power outages.

This generator is so quiet that I don't even realize when it comes on. My electricity was out for over 30 minutes, and I didn't even realize it was off. I received a notice from my electric company that it had been restored. The test run comes on once a week and I forget to see if it works because I don't hear it. My neighbor's generator makes so much noise when it comes on that I can hear it anywhere in my house. I absolutely recommend this generator!!

My wife and I consider this a luxury , we waited 47 years to get this ,as there were always other priorities. Here in our little town of Saline , we loose power all too often. Amazing less than 24 hours after completing the hook up the power went out. Oh, but not here , wow I almost slept through it . Than we were so excited it was hard to get back to sleep..... Didn't expect this unit to be able to run both A/C units plus the rest of the house, but it can as long as they both don't try to start at the same instant. More than I expected. I also like the mobile link as we are away a lot. Good to know the unit has exercised and that if there are any problems, the dealer gets an email and knows a repair is needed.
